Ok, yes, this year they showed mostly stuff that we've already known are being worked on. However, that did not stop them leaving me in awe. There was just so much to all of it, so many moving parts and it looked really dynamic and cool. I think more than anything, like every year, it needs to be put in perspective that "THIS IS ALL FREE". This game has evolved into such a gigantic thing that doesn't really fit in any genre and it keeps evolving and shattering expectations of what it even is. That makes me happy having been with it pretty much from the start and seeing as it's also made by such a cool company.

Pretty much. They went over the top the last 2 years. It is a small miracle they managed to top the PoE reveal a year later. Let them wind things down a little bit, so the next huge thing would be unexpected, again.
I agree, this game is insane. I try to get more friends to play it, but I don't even have the words to describe what it actually is, or what it contains. I'm afraid I seem like a rambling maniac when I start talking about it Only got 2 friends hooked who really get it now and are in deep, but the others still don't trust that it's free-2-play.
And the devs are completely bonkers. What makes them so great is that they don't just slap on more areas and weapons and warframes as like... World of Warcraft expansions did. No, they either go back and refine and improve old stuff (see: gas city rework) or they throw together a bunch of new systems that somehow intermingle with all the other systems already there changing and improving the game so fundamentally that everyone is speechless.
I'm really glad I found this game when I did and that I can be along for the ride, really wonder where this all will end up.
its like wow, time invested gets so big they cant stop playing anymore, new gear carrot on a stick for decades, but cant deny its impressive feat of a game, putting 100 + usd 2 destiny 2 to utter shame
The new player experience is still very rough and the game doesn't explain it properly. Codex and everything are there but still not comfortable enough for new players. However, if you stick around and learn the basics and put in a few hours, you will find it enjoyable.
The early to mid game is where the most fun is as you learn and keep upgrading. The end game is well...doesn't exist really. Most of the high rated MRs just sit idle/talk in chat/riven hunt/make plats.
The idea of Nightwave is nice but the cred offerings is completely useless for end game players. The same helmet cosmetics which old users already farmed from alerts, Nitain with nothing new to craft, Potatoes with no use. The 2 new skins for Plinx and Falcor looks average and those weapons itself aren't great. So the entire credits just go wasted or into more potatoes. Would be nice to get something useful like Void Traces instead which everyone always run out constantly. Even adding some random rivens would make it fun for end game players.
Looking forward to Railjack. Hopefully good.

I don't get the hype for this game. It's the same cycle over and over again. New systems and mechanics, oh it's shit. Let's wait 2 years then rework it so we can market it as a new update. I don't know if their designers are incompetent or internally they intentionally make it shit so they can rework it in the future and pretend they "listen to the community" and bundle it with new systems and market it all at once.
They are not really shite but more like outdated with the current generation. You can say dated mechanics/stuff. The older frames which were good once but not anymore get double checked and reworked. Same for weapons. The riven dispo is updated in a timely fashion too to keep the weapons useful. The tileset was also recently updated with new visuals and design.
Plains was their 1st open world and it was very rough at launch. Maybe lack of experience but Fortuna was so much more polished and done well. Yes, it is not complete but much better than Plains. After that, they reworked Plains and it is currently better than ever.
It's not "pretend listen to the community". They actually listen and are active in both forums and social media. They do weekly streams and dev workshop every 2 weeks. 250+ Prime time streams / 130+ dev streams. They read out what community wants, respond to it, see how they can be fixed, update the community about upcoming and future. Meanwhile, other AAA studios can't even bother to respond...
6+ years and still going strong. Nothing changed in terms of cost. Still free. Still doesn't force players to buy platinum. Still open market. No plans to make Warframe 2 or charge. Countless updates and expansion sized releases. All FREE. That's why they are praised and hyped.

I'd rather they just spent some time fixing bugs, playing after the last release was a waste of time, i lost my progress 6 times to host migrations and network errors
Pwah, you scrubs know nothing, your petty issues don't even scratch the surface of what makes Warframe great I can't even play other 3rd person games anymore, everything feels so slow and boring if I can't ninja-backflip 3 floors up and bullet-jump along corridors at 200 miles per hour killing everything along my path like a nuclear-powered blender gone berserk.
I bought The Division 2 a couple of weeks ago during a sale, and even though it got good ratings and I can see why it's enjoyable, it seems just so slow and quaint crawling from cover to cover compared to Warframes frenetic pace.
It's just the combination of fantastically fluid, breakneck speed moment-to-moment 3rd-person shooter-action gameplay and the constantly evolving and changing systems around it that does it for me. Sure I take breaks of a couple of weeks in between when there weren't updates for a while, but it's just so enjoyable to me... whelp. There I go rambling like a maniac again
Decided to give this whole "trading stuff for plats" thingamajig a try (yes, I was a bit of a whale until now, living off 75% discounts when I got lucky). It's kinda satisfying to watch Primitive Technology videos on the right side of my monitor while selling years old stuff from my inventory on the left. Made a nice comfortable 100 plats in an hour. I cannot even imagine how much plats I flushed down the toilet because I was too lazy to check warframe.market and just scrapped everything for ducats.
Trading is very nice and easy too. Thanks to warframe.market, everything works passively.
Back then I used to trade rivens but got really bored of it because of the constant undermining the value. Too much time to flip as well.
The new prime items are always a goldmine. Stock up on syndicate points -> buy relic packs and go all in on new relics. Managed to sell a bunch of Wukong sets day 1.

@Yondaime - there is nothing more fun than Synoid Simulor. The best ever.
You can try these:
Opticor (Vandal) which is like BFG. The standard builds are a bit slow but very single target effect. However, if you mod it with fire rate in mind, it becomes so much fun to use while also dealing decent damage.
Lenz - you said no bow but this one is special kind. It fires special bolts that explode. It is very strong but very low ammo. So you will have to use Carrier companion.
Synapse - single beam but quite good range. Used to be good but still fun.
Glaxion (Vandal) - similar to above but cold. It is quite weak though.
Ignis (Wraith) - it's beam and super strong. It melts everything in your way and has large pool of ammo. Top tier.
Penta (Secura) - grenade launcher. It's fun to use but you also take self-damage and can kill you in 1 shot at times.
Zarr - cannonball and barrage. Quite fun and effective as well. Again, can self-kill.
Tigris Prime - I know, I know but this is one of my favorite guns to play with. The duplex is just so much fun. 1 shot - kill - reload - repeat. And it is damn powerful. It also kind of keeps things interesting as you cannot room clear instantly like other weapons. So kind of keeps you on alert with health and reload timing.
Phantasma - it's a shotgun but slime-y jelly type. It eats ammo fast but pretty cool weapon.
Vectis (Prime) - sniper, yes, but with Depleted Reload it becomes 1 shot 1 kill type. It is like old noscope 360. I enjoy it a lot.
Fulmin - this one is new weapon. Came out with Wisp. I like it. It has both shotgun and auto mode and super effective.
___
For secondary:
Atomos - still very good and fun to play. It is beam type and spreads as well. Kind of like Amprex but heat.
___
For Melee:
Sarpa/Redeemer (Prime) - with Bullet Dance stance. Not super effective but plenty of fun to use. You basically dance around and kill.
You can try some Glaive/Tonfa/Brawler weapons for fun. But otherwise not much in melee as most of them just use meta/top tier weapon.
You can craft Zaw dagger and have fun with stealth kills (Ash/Loki).

I just got back into Warframe on Switch. Can you recommend some good rifles? I reached Tier 4 with Karak when I stopped playing on PS4 and unfortunately can't migrate to Switch.
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube
Mastery Rank 4? Hmm, usually Hek is a go-to weapon. It's a shotgun though.
There is Boltor and Gorgon for rifles. They aren't great but should be a good start for MR4.
At MR5, get Kohm/Grakata. Ignis if you want some flame held trigger type.

Tiberon was my main rifle for a while when I started! Sadly they changed it from MR4 to MR10 required
The Khom took me through the entire starchart when I first started playing... I still whip it out now and then for the memories, and it still feels great. Just this insane fuckoff 200-magazine rapid-fire shotgun carving your way through the Grineer hordes... you really need a Carrier sentinel for it though, ammo economy is crazy without.
I tried the Hek recently, and the 4-magazine size is just terrible, I can't understand how it's recommended everywhere.
Same reason why I don't really like the Tigris. Without mods, it's two shots per reload. With max mods, it's 5 (and you sacrifice several mod slots to achieve even that). There are so many enemies that even with punchthrough it's just too slow. Kicks like a fucking mule, but it's not really helpful to slowly kick 1000 grineer, one by one. Maybe a couple at once if they are bunched up enough.
After all this time, I still prefer my Soma Prime above all. Sure, it's not the "meta", but who cares? It gets the job done perfectly fine, and you can dakka away with a pretty sizeable magazine.
