Thanks for the thoughts mens!
I'm in no pain, no need for painkillers or anything.
@Artistatpickingup, I think the brain is the cool dude, doesn't allow for movement while sleeping - I can sleep on one side tho!

I might have an umbilical hernia (or paraumbilical, close to the navel anyway). Small one, found it today. Going to the doctor tomorrow to confirm what it might be.

It's a hernia situated near the navel ( the part of your body where the umbilical cord was ).
Slight chance it might be something else, but I'm not really hopeful since hernia symptoms are there.
Edti 03.07: Yep, it's an umbilical hernia all right. This has not been a good couple of weeks.

So I had surgery on that hernia today. I am in a lot of pain right now.
Life sucks.

Funny, I might have cancer. During ths operation the surgeon noticed an irregular mole and told me I should biopsy that to check for melanoma.
Probably nothing, I have a lot of moles and that one is old and always looked like that, but "you better check that" is not something you want to hear from a surgeon who's sewing you together.

You should get that checked and removed regardless. In fact, remove any significant moles you have in areas where the sun hits (on the beach, too). Face, shoulders, neck, arms.
I had removed one on my back a long time ago. And a couple of years ago I removed a few, mostly on the top of my chest and shoulder. In one visit: 3 moles. ZAP!
So my advice is to zap that mole and a couple others that you hate in one visit.

So today I'm leaving the hospital. Good.
I was in a two person room, and the other person can barely be called a person anymore. Grandpa in his 80's, half blind and in bad condition. He can barely speak, but man, can he slip out those old man farts. There was so much gas I thought for a moment he was a german.
In the night he either mumbled to himself, farted, moaned or snored. Living for too long is definitely a thing.
Oh and if I wanted to remove all my moles I'd look like Victor Zzasz. I have more on one hand then most people have on their entire body. Thankfully 99% of them are flat, regular and pose no higher risk of becoming malignant than an unblemished skin.

I'm getting better every day. Wound is healing up nicely, mostly no pain (no painkillers), just a strange feeling when I get up. Also got a mesh in me now, fellow cyborg. After 7 weeks you really shouldn't be able to feel it though.
Unless they cut out one of your balls due to the varicocelle and put a squeaky toy there and that's the prosthetic you're talking about.

It's the mesh and I can feel it when i bring my knee to my chest. I believe that the inguinal hernia is lower than the umbilical one.
Have you started walking around the house? "excercise" a bit?

It's normal to sometimes feel the mesh.
