Now that there is the multiplayer mod, it's even more entertaining. (of course, there's not really 'mp' content, but at least you can interact with someone while playing the game ) |
Same here! Me and a friend are playing it....well arguing over it, as we have totally different ideas how to build the base .
He goes for style and ultimate best colonist mood. I go for efficiency first, and long as they are not a break risk they are 'happy enough'.
And playing SCUM, son and some of his friends wanted to try it again with the added content. So rented a server and playing it with them. (I hate i can't run one privately on my own box yet, you can only rent them). |
what we do in Rimworld is run separate bases entirely by splitting the initial group and settling another location nearby, it works rather well. |
Do you play vanilla, or with mods (multiplayer vanilla).
With mods I get quite a bit of desyncs ( a lot of the interesting mods are not supported)

Deus Ex with Revision Mod. Don't like it quite as much as GDMX mod.

we play with a few mods, but there's only a few mods you can use that don't alter state, avoid any mod that has new buttons or functionality, but even in vanilla you will get desyncs from time to time.. although maybe it is all fixed now.

Started playing Borderlands 2 (had started once years back) and played for a few hours.
Really nice game, loot is confusing as fuck to me (for some reason)
But super smooth and pretty funny story / dialogue so far.
Want to get this finished before the third installment comes out coz that is looking badass

Wait that works?
Split off the people into groups for 2 different colonies in 2 different maps?

yeah, i think someone posted a quick guide about it on reddit somewhere, but it should work as you expect. you need to turn on the ability to manage more than 1 colony in realtime in the options for it to work from memory.

Fallout: New Vegas (again), planning on playing the finally reasonably finished Fallout: New California mod (it's more like a separate Fallout game since it doesn't take place in Nevada) after I finish all the main quests in Fallout NV.

Still playing catchup here (I haven't played many of the games that came out between 2015-2018)
First was Doom (2016), great gunplay and superb performance. (thanks Vulkan)
Then I finished Obduction - beautiful game, fascinating world, but some idiotic and annoying puzzles (felt more like work than puzzles). Not gonna forget that game anytime soon though.
Currently I'm playing the BF1 campaign,so far it's much better than BF3/BF4 campaigns, finally they are making proper use of the engine and environmental destruction.

Dying Light & Stellaris
Stellaris has really become a nice game since I played it about 2 years ago.
Dying Light was mostly to see what the fuzz is about, but so far, I'm still enjoying it (despite weapons breaking so fking fast)
As is becoming a habbit, I haven't completed the other games I played before these (Sinking City & Game of Thrones RPG), even though I'm in the last (or second to last) chapter in both games...

WH40k Inquisitor - Martyr ... I'm in love, lol.
38 hours in, 1 character only (i.e. only tried and played as 1 subclass yet) and still have stories left from the main game.
It's the almost perfect Action RPG!

I played Nier Automata, but at one point I couldn’t take the japcrap anymore despite watching alot of anime/reading manga.
Might take up Fallout 4 too.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

EDIT: Damn that buggy engine. I had forgotten how much this game keeps crashing for no apparent reason (yes, I've installed YUP, 4GB patch etc.). Not using FNSE or similar more advanced mods.

Do all of that (it all applies to NV as well, TTW isn't needed). I installed a literal fuckton of mods, 300+ easy, and it was completely stable, without any FPS hitching too.

Was almost to give that a try a few months back but there still were some reports of hitching and low FPS on some of the most intensive locations (can't remember exactly where).
Ended up going with modded FO3
