Ok...can someone remove that penguin banner...? it scared(s) the fuckin shit right outta me everytime.
Like, Im watching tv and am on the forum and all of a sudden I hear "I cant wait for you and me to be together again"...obviously from the ad since nothing else was running on my cpu besides IE...then it happened again.
Freaks the shit outta me....oddly enough, most of the ads are blocked, cept that one and a few others, no popups tho.

If i browse nforce with IE i get a lockup for like 1 sec, and then the page continues loading.
With ff i dont have this problem + it is banner/ad and popup free.

Not here either. I m still mainly using mozilla suite because of the integrated mail-client but hell, even that is faster most of the time then ie. Fastest still is opera, although not on all pages.
if you use the fasterfox extension you get the site-load-timer like opera used to have (you can still enable it somewhere, but it goes away after page has loaded so its harder to spot how long the loadtime was) and can compare. Dunno if something like that exists for ie
And with fasterfox FF is set to really fast which you could also do in the hidden preferences but so its much more convenient... |

I dont like Fire Fox...I installed it when it first came out and it fucked up my internet explorer plugins and settings and stuff and, like some have said, it doesnt preform as well as IE in terms of load times and stuff.
I know its supposed to be better and all this shit, but on my computer, with my settings and stuff, it just fucks things up.

As for load times in IE i guess you are talking about the time it takes to start the application, right? Here I might agree that the first time you start something IE might be faster, as it's already started as a part of the windows shell. As for page-loading etc IE is not the fastest browser. Also, it doesn't render pages correctly.

ok....either which way, personal preference  Plus, ive been using IE for years, why switch when it still works well? |
