Polished cartoon graphics and barrel explosions are more important than the gameplay, item systems, skill systems, bosses and endgame content in an ARPG.

tbh I prefer the skill system in D3 over that in PoE or Grim Dawn. Some people like spending skill points and hope not to fuck up their build, others just like to try different builds "on the fly" and not worry about points.
And what's wrong with items in D3? Or the Boss Fights?

D3 ruined the genre for me, tbh. There's just nothing else that looks and plays as good, even 7 years later lol. Unfortunately i've already played the game for 5, so i can't even bare to look at it anymore. Ruined the genre.

I would say so. I've tried many, they all have their pros and cons. D3 and PoE are still the bigger ones with the most pros, so either of the 2 really. There's Grim Dawn that I can't for the life of me understand how it is a good game.

If you like the Wh40k Universe, then Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr can also be quite entertaining. If you can get it in a sale or low price anyway.
D3 has become very easy indeed, I am now, and only for lack of pushing, running some Torment 10 and I instakill everything with my crusader. Doing 20-50 billion damage... Keywarden, rift guardians etc, 1-3 hits and they are toast... everything else, 1 hit and dead. Actually, 1 hit and half the screen is dead, lol.
Still, satisfying.
PS, same in GR50, instakill everything.
And I know, people are like GR 100+, but I'm not sure I have the motivation/endurance to grind to there, lol.

To me, somehow the biggest weakness of D3 was that the *optimal* (i.e., fastest) way of progressing once at lvl60 was to connect to torment difficulties that are way beyond what you could handle, and hope to get into a game with players who will carry your ass around.

With Blizzard the way it is now, I'd be surprised if they didn't fuck it up.
But then, the more they fuck it up from my perspective, the more money it'll probably make those fuckers, so did they really fuck it up then?

d3 is already over 7 years old, and most likely they already started with d4 even before releasing the d3 expansion. that would mean at this point atleast 6 years of development (which is way more than they needed for the masterpiece d2)
speaking of d2 -> d2 hd remake too plz. preferable as shadow drop

D4 might have been rebooted during development.

On topic: Atm I don't give a shit about D4. They released enough stinkers the past years. I know a lot of people like these stinkers but they still be stinkers. |
