Finished it finally although to quote Dylan -"boring game". I found the weirdness of the story fantastic, the plot was good too but the gameplay was mediocre at best. The gun modes was almost useless, I used only two powers exclusively - throwing and flying. Why the fuck there even was a shield - I don't know maybe to have four powers?
A rather generous 7/10 for a full price game.
As goes for RTX and dynamic reflections and shadows I couldn't care less but the destruction was fantastic and maybe focus on that and not performance crippling bling bling.

If you hex edit that you unlock all DLC (couple of outfits and a an extra mission), apparently.
I dont see those values (74 43 // 74 3D at those coordinates) in the hoodlum release. Neither in the DX11 nor in the DX12 exe. Probably already based on another version.

They are there for sure in hoodlum release. Unless you got some altered copy or you're not searching the offsets in a proper way. I will send edited exes via PM if you need.

I'm not really feeling this game. The story is interesting and I like the "weirdness" of what's going on but the actual game mechanics feel repetitive and mainly a means to get to documents that fill in the story. I haven't played that much yet though. It's running surprisingly well on my O/C'd 1060 6GB with GI off and looks fine (except that sometimes texture streaming seems slow, at least when it comes to paintings on the walls where you can basically see a low res version before it's fully streamed and decompressed.

That got me for a while.
You don't "search" or use "find" for the values, you have to "goto" them.
@demde@cyclonefr : Thanks guys. Its been a while since the last hex edit. Now that I know my error, I‘ll do the edit myself.
@mangaKat Thanks for the tip!

For some reason this game manages to reboot my system ever since the second time ive played it. tried everything i could to fix it but no dice, every other game and even pushing cpu + gpu to 100% via benchmarks doesnt produce any faults.

Are you overclocking? If so, try without overclocking. Installed latest drivers? If not, do so. Also open a command prompts (Run as Administrator) and type sfc /scannow to check and fix any missing/corrupt system files.

Tried to go on Stock speeds with the CPU and Debug mode for the GPU, updated all drivers and even the BIOS. Also its only this one game so far showing this behaviour everything else ive tested ran without issues. The sfc /scannow command did actually find some errors that it said it couldnt repair, dont have any experience with that though.
Pixel asses. It will be the future of many males (sadly enough). With evolved 3D technology , haptic feedback etc. it's easier to just play around with pixel pussy compared to dealing with another human being.
im halfway through the game and quantum break was better
the story is just boring that brings the game down and i dont care about reading notes, its like watching a movie based on a book and you need to read the book after watching the movie to understand more things and thats just shit writing, it should stand on its own.
the story beying weird does not make it automatically good, you can have weird and interesting like a david lynch movie or weird and boring like a bad winding refn movie
main character is uninteresting too, the whole monologue seems out of place or just her voice acting is bad. and why does her face sometimes looks like a horse but the janitor's face looks so detailed?
even the combat is too easy, you can just run and throw things at enemies and you dont even need anything else
best way to describe the game is like blade runner movie where story is meh but everything is so pretty vs inception where it checks all the boxes
Another boring, confusing mess like Quantum Break, written by Sam Lake - Remedy's David Cage.
The whole game feels very cheap - bad animations, weird camera placement, simplistic menus, pointless RPG elements, sterile repetitive locations, weird checkpoint system, combat and character movement has no real weight to it. It just doesn't feel great to play, everything is off except main character's ass - they got that right, for sure.
Reminds me of another forgotten mediocre game with a nice looking butt - Remember Me. Everything else, not that memorable...
What about that stupid former boss fight? First really difficult battle to me.

its not that good of a game because its too restrictive and too sparse. Due to the small budget they had no doubt. But youre incorrect in that it doesnt play well, it plays beautifully. The powers work better than they worked in any game that had them. And they prioritized responsiveness over animation blending and inertia. Thats fucking outstanding.
Yeah, the animations look a bit iffy when you're changing directions suddenly and stuff like that. And they deserve a medal for this. This game reacts instantly to every command you give it. Thats how games should control, not restricting what youre trying to do because the animation has to play out

Like in Demolition Man when Sandra Bullock tells Stallone that hey, no problem, she's down to fuck. Stallone is all like damn
And then he finds out that it's only done through the interwebs
As for Sony buying remedy... Haven't they learned their lesson already with the Microsoft buyout? Kahman doods...

Funnily enough, I think the exact opposite in regards to controls. The character moves unnaturally and feels like a paper doll.
There's a number of other problems too - bad AI, poor encounter design, luckluster story. Combat is fun sometimes, but gets stale quite fast.
Honestly, it's closer to Quantum Break than Alan Wake or MP2. Which isn't good, in case anyone's wondering. Not the worst game I played lately, but far from impressive.
I don't feel much of either Quantum Break, Alan Wake or MP2 in Control (didn't like QB at all, Alan Wake was ok for a while but it got boring and MP2 is a masterpiece). For some weird reason this is one of the first games I've played that made me feel slightly motion sick. The camera panning is floaty somehow. I also had to turn down the mouse sensitivity a LOT to even be able to navigate since it was waaaaay too sensitive even when I used the lowest sensitivity setting on my Logi G9x and no other game was even close to the sensitivity in Control. I think I had to drop the X/Y sensitivity from 50 to 15 and use the lowest sensitivity on my mouse.

Lake did not write Quantum Break. Two are the credited writers for QB, and two are for Control, and none of them wrote for both games.

It was a cheap game to make for sure. Look at what type of games 505 Games is publishing.

Remedy was never an internal Microsoft studio. Not that it would matter. More pertinent would be how is it with internal Sony studios? Do they have a good time?
As far as I know, it's great. Internal Sony studios are given huge budgets and many of the games they create are featured on GotY lists.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

But they're also PlayStation exclusives.
Yes.
