Square Enix has officially confirmed the release date for PS4's Final Fantasy VII Remake. The highly anticipated game will finally launch worldwide on March 3, 2020. The announcement was made during a Final Fantasy concert held prior to the official opening of E3 2019.
FF VII's action wasn't perfect either - in fact, it took quite a while before the game actually let you have the tools to add strategy to the game. Before that it was the typical "hit, hit, heal" bullshit I always hated in jRPGs.
I'm fine with that, I never liked Tifa's design even back then.
I preferred Aeris and spent countless hours leveling her because that's what I always did in FF games. Level the healer!

Though I hope they make changes that improve the story, I always thought it was a mess story wise. The worst bit was wheelchair Cloud and I struggled to see it to its tedious conclusion.
Yea the game starts out pretty cinematic but it's gonna be interesting to see them turn the rest of the game (everything after Midgar) into a convincing experience because it's full of japanese dorkiness, which worked with cartoon'ish graphics and chibi character models
But the remake looks pretty grim and real, how will wheelchair cloud and the bathhouse rape scene work with that?
It still looks better and more involved than in XV, I guess it's something.
That aside, the game really is lovingly remade imo, everything looks kinda like I imagined it would.
By the way, not only is the demo leak real but it has already been decrypted and repacked to work for those with hacked 5.05 PS4s Legit users can't play it yet since it's not on PSN officially.. but hacked users can 22GB download on various PS4-related scene sites as well as it also being added to the PS4 Homebrew Browser app.
The most interesting part is all the chatter around HOW the PKG was decrypted and then resigned for such a low FW. There's some sly winking and nudging going on by those involved

Oh and there are plenty of PC strings found by reverse-engineering the FF7R demo files too.
