I had some Twitch streams going on my second monitor today while trying to win a copy of the game and from what I saw it does seem pretty much more of the same just with a different story. I guess I was expecting something more after all this time and hype so it at least made up my mind that I will not be going out of my way to buy it until the complete edition is on Steam in a year and half or so at a substantial discount. If I had more PC friends then the co-op might be more enticing but since I usually end up just playing one character solo just to go through the story it seems kind of a waste at the current price.

The game feels like an addon to Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 2 felt like an addon to Borderlands 1.
Nothing new here. Typical Randy bullshit.

The game looks exactly the same as the previous two games yet it has performance problems.. and its exe's size is..... 600MB(!).
We can only guess how many checks, triggers, and shit denuvo is doing while the game is being played.

I guess you haven't actually played the game, so I can assure you, while the art style is the same, the game looks way better than BL2 and way way way better than BL1 ...

It's simple if you didn't like Borderlands you won't like this one two, if you liked them, this one has better graphics, better guns sounds, tighter character design, better controls.
And yet it still has shitty NPC and fetch quests.
Bought it for 22€ and having fun with it but I wasted around 400h in previous parts so...

https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-09-14-borderlands-3-is-suffering-from-a-raft-of-technical-issues-at-launch
Quote: | In light of Borderlands 3 PC launching as a timed exclusive on the Epic Games store, which does not have a forum, players are turning to other places to ask for help - and troll.
Gearbox's own forum has a section for Borderlands 3, which is packed with troubleshooting threads started by players asking for help. But it's the Borderlands 2 Steam page where most discussion is being had - and not all of it is helpful or wanted, it seems.
It's no surprise, of course, to see players of an Epic Games store timed exclusive flock to the Steam page of its predecessor to ask for help and indeed troll others. This has happened before with previous Epic Games store exclusives and will no doubt happen again. But given Borderlands 3's rocky launch, the issue is exacerbated - and given Steam's enormous online footprint, those who use Google to troubleshoot Borderlands 3 problems will likely be sent Steam's way. |

Sure, it still doesn't justify the way it runs

It runs actually quite good if you use the correct settings...
Anyway, level 20 now and like "20% done", lol.
The game is a LOT of fun, IF you like Borderlands. But unlike the other BL's, this has almost zero "downtime". No running back all the time, just Fast Travel. Makes it a lot more fun and less "boredlands"

Yea it's one of those classic "If a game has Ultra Settings I should be able to use those and have a decent experience, I'm on PC after all!" situations. I prefer Ultra settings that no current machine can decently run yet over limitations that won't let you up the visual fidelity when new hardware comes around.
Though seems to be hit and miss, i got a 2070 and got everything at Ultra on 2560x1080 and it runs at 60+ fps. But some people have serious problems with better cards at appropriate resolutions.
Some of the settings are serious resource hogs but have only a small visual impact. Not sure borderlands ever had proper screen space reflections like this time around, but it for example is a setting you have to be cautious of.
Game definitely looks miles better than any other title in the series, though I too thought it looked the same old when I only had seen videos of it.
Looks better in motion when you play it yourself.
Love the day and night cycle and that city planet looks great at night.

Sin317 wrote: | It's a "4 Story DLC's" pass, so a DLC for 12.50€ each, it's not that unreasonable, depending on the size of those DLC's.
If they are like Tiny Tina's Dragon thingy or like Claptraps mind from The sequel, then I am more than fine with that.
Well, I am all fine, because I don't pay 100€ or 110€, but like 40-45€, so I am VERY fine with that |
It is a lot. The DLC is as expansive as the game. It's not like it has cost them 50% of the budget to make, it's a quick buck for the devs.

It clearly says "Story DLC's"...
Anyway, level 22 now, just did the first Vault. Love the boss fights so far, they are intense. Combat in general feels more intense than in the previous titles.

Lol, and Fallout 4's season pass was worth it as well. I mean they SAID it will be meaty, hence the price hike. Look how that turned out.
