Isn't it some shit with not optimized for Nvidia because I on shitty RX580 have 55-60 fps on at least month old drivers and DX11 and not Badass settings mind you but everything on high...

I set the game to medium and at that, it looks still very good and runs well. I.e. always 60fps+ on 1080. But again, it's with a pair of 970 in SLi without actual proper sli support

I see people like this game, good for them, i'm not much of a borderlands fan myself - so not going to rage / comment about the game itself, i'm glad people like it.
But this? excepting a game you paid for to not work properly and then not allowed to complain about it and " wait for a patch " before you review it?

If the game is broken, the developer needs to be shown in reviews and potential costumers need to be warned, simple as that!
Gonna throw my two cents here: reviews are made on the state of the product at launch. That is the norm. Wait for the patch for a review is a no-go. The review is made once the game was launched and is about the state in which the game is at that moment.
As for the game, don't have an opinion, as i don't have it yet.

The game runs fine for being open world and looking pretty good If I may say so.
I'm running the "Badass" preset which has some unnecessary settings but I can't be arsed to tweak around and on my 2070 it runs from the lowest I've see at 40 fps to 90 fps.
That's on 2560x1080.
Guess this is a nice starting point for people who actually play the game and want to optimize

Me and two buddies played that Pre-sequel two months ago because we have never played it and wanted to "prepare" for Borderlands 3.
It sucked ass and I was deadset on not getting this - ever. Pretty sure we all were.
But it released, a friend got it and raved about it and begged me to get it to play with him.
I did and it's been a blast this weekend, by far the best Borderlands entry imho.
If Borderlands ain't your thing this probably won't be either, if it is you're gonna have a blast. Unless you hate fun of course.
But I get it, in this day and age and especially here on this forum everyone's a cynic and a critic grabbing for every straw that reinforces their opinion.
Be it the deadset fanboys that would defend the game even if it ran at 5 fps and crashed every half hour or the usual haters that would bash it even if were one of the best games in the last decade, just because it's a popular franchise and they secretly hate themselves.
Honestly, just play whatever you want and let people play whatever they want. It's all great as long as everyone is having fun.

But the Claptrap DLC for it is the best thing, together with Assault on Dragon Keep, in BL history.

And the game IS fun, DESPITE the "technical" flaws, i.e. depending on your luck, "FPS stability". But that never actually hinders gameplay or makes the game less fun.
It's noticeable, sure, but the game IS so much FUN, that you kind of ignore it, when playing.
So far had one major bug - where quest enemy got stuck into geometry and was unkillable. One minor - where my spiderant or whatever that is just catapulted one boss out of the map, but game counted it as kill.
What I hate - except most of the obnoxious characters is the sound design of dialogues if I don't have a character in my view their dialogue become almost unhearable.

Just finished it. Some drag and okay characters aside, it was very enjoyable. The gunplay is lots of fun. Some crazy guns to use. The pacing with the story is good - slow bits - good again.
This + previous game characters including Jack will make it best BL game. Somehow the new characters didn't have the same impact as before. Troy lines were okay while Tyreen was cringe-fest. The open-world isn't empty like new open-world games nor filled with 100s of markers like Ubilol games. Exploration is rewarding and there is no limit for loot. Bored of a gun? Just kill a bunch and you get a new weapon. I didn't come across a same gun in an entire playthrough.
Good game overall. A solid BL game. Performance does suck and gets worse as you progress and inventory is still laggy but otherwise good. Hopefully, they will release a patch to fix the issues before dropping DLCs.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
About performance, playing 2 remastered while ‘waiting’ on this one ( discount or crack idc ) and performance is bad if you max settings on that one as well with sub 60 fps drops in 1440p... can’t really compare with bl3 ( since i don’t have it yet but just sayin’ ). Might be same or maybe worse. I know 2 had physx but that’s not the only fps drop cause, in some cases aith 0 physx and low draw distance a bridge area with a bit more metal scrap houses in the distance tanked fps as well.
Did anyone check if it’s a gpu issue or a cpu bneck in tue 3rd game?

To be fair, tho, the first hour of the game is a bit of a chore, because of claptrap and the c-o-n-s-t-a-n-t chatter in your echo from CP and the others... Once that is gone, it really becomes another game.
