Early Access will offer its players an endless survival experience with 8 hours of storytelling and free-of-charge access to the upcoming updates adding new episodes, locations, characters, and equipment to the game. The story in Chernobylite is non-linear, unpredictable and fully dependent on player’s decisions, which leads to many possible endings. That means even if you finish the story in EA, you can relive it again many times and in many different ways.
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“We don't have a definite timeframe yet but we're estimating it'll be something between 10 and 14 months.”
Coming out of EA on the 28th apparently. I tried it twice. Once really early on, and again about 5-6 months ago. Was OK I guess, the story moments were certainly more impressive than I expected (nothing special, but definitely better than one would expect from a small indie team). Now the recent steam reviews are "very positive". We'll see.
First game I tried with AMD FSR and here's a quick comparo from the in-game benchmark, res is 2560x1440
(screenshots)
So your monitor is 1440 and you're running the game in native 2560x1440? Or is it a 4K monitor with upscaling from 1440? It's a bit difficult to compare quality since the screenshots are taken in different locations.
It was about 10% progress of the benchmark. same region.
I use a 1440p monitor with 60hz. so no point in going over 60fps.
I keep Vsync on because otherwise i get tearing.
So what is FSR actually doing if the game is set to use the same resolution as your monitor?
I use vsync but change the vsync mode for each game in the NVIDIA Settings tool to "Fast". It helps since it will keep the framerate as high as possible without tearing or jerking.
