Recap? that sucks and my and my only other option is psnow or buying an old console now since emulation is still pretty crappy.

just buy a combo of used console + RDR, sell for approx the same price or more (if you made a really good deal). i do that all the time with stuff (consoles, synths)

Will probably just try to borrow a xbone from a friend since i heard it's by far the best way to play it.

Rockstar doesn't deserve any money for this year wait period on PC.
Well the game devs deserve money but not ceo's and staff that make this kind of decisions.
F them.
And F's for actual game devs.

I guarantee you that the legitimately owned game libraries of most pirates far outweigh those of non-pirates.

Fuck R*. They treat their PC market like a double-dip cash cow, have absolutely no clue how to make any sort of compelling multiplayer experience (that goes doubly on PC - GTA was a mess from the get go and still is), and generally don't give two fucks about their player-base as long as they can keep their micro-transaction cash cards flowing. The days when they deserved to be held in reverence as a standup developer are long gone - they're no different than EA or Ubisoft now - just suits looking to bank rather than design good games.

Them focusing on MP over SP would be enough reason for me to pirate Razz Not sure i will in the end though, pirating is too much of a hassle (updates etc).

I'm quite exicted how people will react on the game.

Most of them (Console users) stated: Not what i wanted.

Yeah, this game is really demanding. Play it for 1-2 hours in a sitting and you will be like "this is shit".
You really need to do at least 4-5 hours min. to really pull you in.

I thought it was an amazing world to play with, characters and story are so good. I enjoyed the gameplay and i miss the game, there's some things that i didn't like but i hope some of them can be fixed in the PC version, like quick save, in console version you need to enter like 3 menus if i remember correctly to manually save.
Other things I'm not sure will be fixed like hunt corpse rot which sucks.
But after all it's really a great game, to me Rockstar best game and one of the best i played.

You can bet PC players will suck R*'s cock as gratitude for releasing it on PC, like they did last time. The release wouldn't have happened if they didn't want the multiplayer crowd's money. GTA Online on pc still has a very active community. R*'s track record from the last decade isn't the best and it gets worse the further back you go:

GTA IV - PC players wait 6 months for a mess of a port that struggles on modern systems and came with GFWL and Rockstar Social Club on launch

RDR - no PC port

L.A. Noire - PC players wait 6 months for a mess of a port that needed another 6 months of extensive patching to work correctly

Max Payne 3 - I can't remember if there was issues with that one. I remember playing it on launch and it ran like dogshit. Other than that I don't know.

Grand Theft Auto V - 18 months after release on consoles it gets a PC port. You couldn't play online if you had certain applications like Reshade installed. Other than that it was an okay port.

I've just bought this again for the PS4 pro and I'll get it again next year when I have a PC to do the game justice. Arthur Morgan is up there with my favourite protagonists, he even surpasses John Marston from RDR1.

Don't really know why this game doesn't interest me, but I will definitely pirate it when its cracked on PC or buy if price drops to $10 to $20 in the future, whichever comes first.

keep giving money to a company that added real money casinos into its online game ... muppets, rockstar is on my pirate list ever since they tried pulling that shit and showed their true colors in gta online and how they want to make their future monies, it set the path for their future games to be bland and full of micro macro transactions

well i mean, if people stopped buying the game for the sp, t2 is just going to have them do bare minimum sp stuff and focus on online stuff for upcoming games since online is where the money's at

though t2 probably isn't a fan of rdr because it's harder to plug in stuff to sell like flying cars and whatever

They kind of do that already with plopping out SP and then forgetting about it.
How many wanted an expansion for GTAV... all they pumped out was MP shit.

They need players to play their MP... and the only sure way of doing that is releasing it in a package. For example: look at all the struggling MP only games that can't establish a healthy player base. And most of them have better gameplay (not world).
They need that SP to suck people in.

RDR2 sold 25 million copies. I've read that Red Dead Online's number were underwhelming compared to that with "only"~ 10 million players giving it a try. How many are the recurring players is anybody's guess, but the SP portion of the game apparently didn't pull in the expected player number. The microtransactions didn't help either. Laughing

Same got it for cheap on PS4, played couple of hours. Liked it overall, but because of the shitty controls with the pad i was always finding a reason to start another game instead of this. If they manage to make GTA V like port it should be pretty solid experience for PC with proper controls.

Finally. After watching South Park episodes referencing this game so much,. I just had to play it. Pathetic how Rockstar makes PC users wait forever. I will wait for download.. and play to finish it.Good news!

I can imagine the download size, lol, as on the console, it was around 95Gb+ back then, so factor in the much better textures for the PC etc, lol.

Still, compression delivery is much better to a PC than a console, as are the files themselves, but I still think it will be pretty massive regardless Smile

Shocked

Good though, great news indeed!

It's the immersion I'm looking forward to the most, wandering around the world, being absorbed by it. Smile
Unfortunately, the missions look scripted to the bone as in you can't even try to do them using alternate routes or indirect ways, which is pretty damn stupid in an open-world game which should open those possibilities up.

Rockstar games play all the same, unfortunately - some missions are memorable, but that's a tiny portion of them that actually make you overlook the usual escort/fetch/gunplay, rinse & repeat patterns.
While RDR2's story got praised as pretty good, apparently, I'm pretty sure I'll be frustrated by the missions' on-rail gameplay in itself.

If only they bothered adding alternative approaches to missions to add some meat to the gameplay, then it'd really be quite the perfect game, worthy of all the 10/10s.
I think I'll still enjoy it quite a lot, I like the setting quite a lot Razz

Yeah, the missions are typical Rockstar. Probably their weakest point.

They still have those missions that introduce gameplay stuff that you think will show up again, but nope, it's a one off.
