Apparently, you can hardlock yourself when you don't have enough money to hire a bed during the first 2 days. Developer's solution was to start a new game... Rolling Eyes anyone come across this?

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.

Nah and you probably have to play really really stupid considering there is a Pawnshop and items you can do nothing with but sell there are ppl who just give you lots of money if you ask nicely (with a stat check ofc Laughing )

I feel like this author insistently wants to prove to me how smart he is, and that, above anything, is just really tiring.

I don't recall having to be a *traditionalist* in order to progress. She probably just picked those choices to find offense.

I didn't buy anything on the first or second day, nor did I sell anything the whole game, and was fine.

Tip: Find the bag to collect bottles on the sidewalk on the western edge of the first area. Equip it and the prybar and collect loot as you run around (they need to be equiped to see where to loot). On a second play through, I would zoom right to the bag and the crowbar first off, then get to talking to people.

Warning: A few of the pawnable items can be used in conversations, although I'm not sure if they make a difference. The only one I remember off hand is the handkerchief.

Why? It leads to other things. Me failing running away from 130 real resulted in a 30 real discount on my 2nd playthrough.

This is an excellent game. I never heard of it. Unique style, excellent writing, some actual surprises and good humor. As for dice rolls, go with the flow is my advice. Fails lead to different options.

How long is a playthough and how does one complete run affect the next one?

1 and 2 are still amazing.

I haven't found any use for post cards and for some stuff it says its useless and you can sell it in the inventory.

I like how they implemented repeatable/non-repeatable choices without giving away too much. I usually savescum a lot but here it's usually not required, unless you really really want a specific outcome.

My first run is turning out to be great even without scumming the save Very Happy , being able to shoot the body from the tree on the first day, and in general being pretty lucky with dice rolls.

While there's undoubtedly a lot I'm missing because of my char built, it certainly doesn't feel like it.

I wonder how much narrative changes if I change my chracter from emotional but frail thinker to dumb but dexterous muscle? So far most of the comments are made by my psyche.

They picked the worst person to play this game. 2 minutes into the video and she's already complaining - "Every time I interact with a woman she's sexualized..." Brutal stuff.

Stopped following GB after they hired two one of the most boring and annoying personalities imaginable - Abby and Ben. If you read the comments under that video, no one actually likes her and yet they're still keeping her around. She should be a Twitch streamer, not working on one of the biggest gaming sites in the world.

This is the highest rated game of the year and she's like "Meh, not for me, I don't like the tone of the game - they should've picked another route."

Go back to your Sims 4 and Gears of War crap, you fool!

She sounds like she did a few lines of speed, like the main character of the game. Maybe it was too introspective for her Laughing

I guess I have a somewhat similar character (5-2-1-4). I'm getting bombarded with exposition about every little detail someone mentions or you spot. I spend a lot of time reading in the pawn shop Very Happy I wonder how it is playing with very low intelligence, especially with no cyclopedia skill Laughing

Same, I loved how the classic Fallouts handled low-int builds:

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
