But the title doesn't say it covers Dark Fate? Confused

Sure, why not. I wouldn't post it, but I don't have a problem with it being posted either.

Initial sales in Europe and pre-sales in China, indicate this will likely flop, and potentially harder than Genisys (R vs PG-13).

So next one will be the real reboot I guess with lower budget and brand new cast.

Another reboot. Every Terminator except for Salvation was a reboot Laughing
This series has potential but everyone wants just to see Terminator trying to kill another resistance leader Razz
There is the war which was at least something in the first part of the Salvation. They could go RLM style and do Terminator in Wild West Very Happy
Or old depressed Connor trying his last attack on Skynet which want to irradiate earth and make it inhabitable by humans (it's from comic book).
or Skynet being fucking nuts and sending Terminators to save Connor because this war is only thing that is its purpose to exist.

But let's just make another save Connor movie.

Cameron is already finding excuses why this one will fail, so he can claim the next one is the real true sequel to T2. Laughing

"Either you die a hero..."

Maybe one day, Leo. I think it's just healthier to watch T1 and T2 again. Maybe take a glimpse at the ending of T3 (i consider its ending excellent and fitting). Just the ending tho Laughing

The ending of T3 is the only outcome that makes sense at all within the series' context, it's also the only good part of the movie.
The story should've just ended there.

Am I the only one who liked Salvation?

Okay

The cast was good, the apocalyptic setting was nice, and, for once, no Arnold.

Yep, story sounds truly retarded.
So apparently there were more terminators sent (guessing before Connor was killed). After Arnold killed Connor, he was sending Sarah location of terminators. So what where those terminators all doing after the mission was complete? Where they too family men? Laughing Laughing And where were all these terminators during the events of T2? One being sent incorrectly somewhere far is ... maybe acceptable ... but if there were so many that Sarah was hunting for so many years, where the fuck were they? Laughing

It was a solid action film and I liked the Terminators they had. And I liked the Arnold recreation the second time I watched it Very Happy

Good actors, too. I think the problem is that most people expect the known formula of future technology appearing in current year and wrecking shit up. And chases. Salvation is a full-on scifi film in a post-apocalyptic future that isn't fleshed out AT ALL.

Salvation was pretty terrible tbh.

Once again, it was terrible with only one good thing - it shows the war with the machines. But it wasn't really that satisfying. I get it that it was early in the war (Connor was only one of the resistance fighters) but A-10 and Hueys flying after the world was n-bombed all over bugs me.
And without the above the movie simply sucks. Ok, there was also some Alice In Chains music that i liked Very Happy

Why wouldn't hundreds (or thousands) of aircraft be flying after a widespread nuclear destruction? There are protected stockpiles of fuel and components exactly for this contigency. And other than the active aircraft in the US inventory, there exist huge numbers of mothballed aircraft in special hangars. So in such a catastrophic event it would not only make sense to see modern aircraft flying but also previously decommisioned aircraft.

Example of the US military returning planes to active duty without even having an emergency, poor taxpayers Laughing

https://edition.cnn.com/2016/07/13/politics/military-aircraft-boneyard/index.html

They could have F-14 aircraft flying in the movie and it wouldn't look weird to me.

While what you wrote is true, wouldn't an AI like Skynet also know this and take care so humans can't use it? I'm just saying that leaving planes, along with fuel and ammo for those planes seems quite stupid. Also wouldn't EMP destroy the aircrafts' electronics rendering them useless? I guess maybe not the older ones like a Huey but an A-10?

It's a stark contrast to future scenes in T1 and T2 as the humans' means to fight were very limited from what was shown.

Bombed. Will lose $100M or so for the studios.

Quote:
The sixth “Terminator” entry debuted with a dismal $29 million in North America and $102 million overseas, disappointing figures for a movie that cost $185 million to produce, plus $80 million to $100 million in global marketing and distribution fees. Unless “Terminator: Dark Fate” sees an exceptionally strong hold in the coming weeks, sources at rival studios estimate the movie could lose $100 million theatrically. It will be able to earn back some of that money in television and streaming licensing deals, as well as through home entertainment sales and rentals.

Should have set it in China rather than Mexico, with the terminator played by a China "star". Then it would have been a success. Laughing Laughing

There is always the next one. Laughing
