That is actually pretty cool GOG got it somehow as it means they removed all that Games for Windows Live stuff so it should be a pretty straight forward installation.

Never played this but I remember it was a disappointment overall when it was released, wasn't it? And now it's got 4.6/5 overall rating?? Nostalgia voting? Confused

If you were a fan of John Woo's Hard Boiled you liked the game since it is essentially the sequel to that film but for US audiences back then they probably just thought it was a Max Payne rip off. It also reviewed pretty well so you might be mistaken or thinking of another game.

This game was so impressive back in the day. One of first games that gave me "next gen" feel back then

Would be nice with more immersive features in general in newer games other than fancy shaders and ridiculously large open worlds where the player spends a good amount of hours hopping between ? marks on a rough map and picking up minor junk maybe finding some few more interesting locations or even a few quests that aren't basically variants of a few basic archetypes and looping dialogue.

Physics overall could really do with a uplift whether it's reactive vegetation or more dynamic like destruction and deformation but I don't foresee that changing anytime soon.
(It's better than the state AI is in though, another area that could do with more refinement and less blatant cheating and other common issues.)

Doves aside (They kinda, litter.) the game had it's moments and it's nice to see it returned from basically the gray nowhere of abandonwere but not really.

EDIT: And there's this.

Looking at ones older post history is just so weird.
(Well I've gone from early 20's to mid 30's now although some things never do change. Razz )

Well I'm kinda out of it overall these days but eh kinda having fun and doing stuff.
