Wtf man, every episode is a sidequest. I hope season 2 has an actual story.

From the ending of this last ep looks like the main "antagonist" is about to appear.

This show is shit. I can't believe this is all they've managed to come up with for their first big foray into live-action TV.
The story is non-existent, the episodes are too short, the acting sucks (my god Gina Carano is awful, please don't give her any more speaking roles) and the weird bombastic music almost always feel out of place. And it looks strangely cheap, which is laughable considering the budget they had for this.
Also, I know that it's easy to get bonus nostalgia points nowadays by going all "CGI = bad, puppetry/animatronics/prosthetics = good", but the farmer guy looks fucking ridiculous, and so does baby Yoda when he isn't enhanced by CGI.

I liked the feel of the ep, but CGI was terrible and story yet again uninteresting. I think this show was a ploy to attract the SW fan to succeed in launching the service.

I love everything about the show, characters, music, it's the first thing since rogue one that actually feels like star wars. Well done disney

Despite their straightforward structure, the first three episodes led me to believe that something interesting was cooking inside the verycooldron. The atmosphere felt genuine, the simple adventures of Mando and frog-eating babyoda with warts and all. Episodes four and five on the other hand added way more cheese than I could handle
I don't expect much in the writing department (it's a lost cause with Star Wars ), but I hope the tone will go back to being at least believably pseudo-serious, possibly without the silly amateurish acting bits.

I like that there's no main story, but its essentially a second-hand show, everything in it was used and reused a million times. I wish episodes were longer and each had a decent self contained story.

The short running time is beginning to hurt the show i think, i didnt mind it too much in the first episodes, but its beginning to feel a lot like fan-made short movies do since each episode is its own story too, with a start and an ending. For this super short format you'd expect it to end with cliff hangers so you get a long continuous movie in the end.
This first season was more expensive to do than all of the lord of the rings movies (!) they cost 94 million, this cost over 100 million. yet i get a feeling of internet fan movies. that is not a good thing.

Lots of comedians in this episode.. The voice of the bug eyed droid, wasn't that Moss from IT Crowd? It totally sounds like him. The dude with horns looks like the guy in Dumb and Dumber that chokes on the chili or whatever they gave him lol..
It was a "cool" episode, more so than "good". The acting is fucking terrible, Burr and Mandalorian are good. Goofy is a probably a good word to describe this. The three X-wing pilots are all directors of the show btw "because why not, we're just goofing around huhuhuhu..."

I don't really mind an episodic show, but I wonder how long they can stretch it before it gets boring. After seeing the first 5 episodes, I'm already noticing the wear & tear.
I think for such kind of show to work, you need a bigger crew. More colorful characters, like Firefly had. So far, while being very decent, The Mandalorian also hasn't really had an episode I'd want to watch over again.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

Dude this is Lone Wolf & Cub in SW universe. It's suprising there's any lines for characters at all and I personally love that.
E06 was awesome from classic betrayal story to very well done CQ fights and droid headshots. And the bit with Baby Yoda trying to use the Force and Mando going all Indy Jones with the gun. And X-Wings!
The devil is in the details, learn to enjoy them.
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

I disagree. You can't remove e.g X-wings just because they happened to be in the movies too. Star Wars has to have the elements that we know this universe for, if it introduces new things all the time then we don't get much of a coherent universe that we recognize. And yes, i would say we do recognize the SW universe for its aliens and ships, it surface level stuff really, its not exactly super deep sci-fi, never was.

So is anything recognizable fan service these days? It's not like SW has that big of a universe (especially after they ditched the expanded universe). I recognize most of the architecture, armour, animals,... from SWG. Should I clap everytime?
To me the X-wing moment was more about conveying an 'oh fuck' moment for the baddies than: please clap.
Was handled retardedly though, they blow up an entire 'station' with plenty of people for a dude with a tracker and 1 gunship? Felt out of character.
I guess the best way of conveying what the Mandolin is for me: A better Star Wars thing than the new movies with the same dumb moments.

No they didn't. During the scene i was thinking "seems extreme if they're gonna blow the whole place up", and they didn't. It was still on the extreme side.
In the concept art that follows there's an image with the whole station blowing up, but they didn't went for that, they probably thought it was a bit much.

Pretty sure the "demon" race is even in the first SW movie, in the Cantina.. Twi'lek race is in the universe since long, e.g Bib Fortuna (Jabbas advisor) and she did a pretty good job portraying a bad ass Twi'lek even if the acting was a bit theatrical. Action Figure Bib Fortuna actually carries a knife too i just remembered heh
This was a very typical star wars episode imo, diversity through various aliens and droids, rescue mission, very Lucas'ish overall.
