just because it doesnt smell as bad as other recent sw games, doesnt turn it magicly into an 8/10 game fellas ... i know u needed ur sw fix, but stay objective plz haha
Yeah. If the score is only compared to other SW-games of the last decade then yes, it's an 8/10, perhaps even a 9/10. As a game on it's own merits I give it a 6.5-7/10 (it's been a rather disappointing year).
The only way to have responsive free-flowing multi-directional global lightsaber combat that plays like the beloved Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy would be to design games around mouse and keyboard instead of gamepads. Sadly, I don't see that happening ever again
Sadly I think you're right. We've been cursed by shitty ports since the first 8-bit computers entered the market where the lowest common denominator is being used as the main development platform and then ported to other systems with the limitations of the origin platform. I don't even have a gamepad although I have a bunch of classic joysticks for my retro computers (and emulators with the help of a USB-interface for classic 9-pin joysticks) and I ordered the 5.50€ Steam Controller on a whim which I tried to cancel a couple of hours later since the shipping + taxes was almost 3x the cost of the controller but that was a no go, I have to go for the refund option but I'll probably keep it if only for the odd game where a gamepad is actually useful, like using the analogue stick for steering in racing games etc. (I don't play much racing these days so it just isn't worth it to buy a wheel and last time I had one I sold it a couple of months later since I didn't use it after the initial "wow" from the force feedback).
All a decent lightsaber game needs is a solid parry riposte system, directional swings by way of moving the stick in such direction, sensible stamina limits, no spam rolls, no special moves, maybe a personal shield that will allow a couple of hits (with option to turn this off of course), centre of gravity modifiers ( swing and a miss will open you up riefly depending on what type of attack you used, where your opponent ends up etc)
The rest would come naturally.

Too complicated for the average citizen of this planet.

It's not always about being complicated, but it can be tedious and draining too.

3 hours in and i really enjoying it. Runs smoothly on my RX590 on 1080p, all epic except shadows on medium. I have some lighting flickering on first planet, saw some comments that say it could be due to shadows on medium so i'll try set it to higher later.
Has someone found a way to disable enemy hp bars? I tried the ini file but no go, a shame as the game looks good and the hud is minimal and getting those bars off will make it even more beautiful.
I suck at souls games so i hope it wont be to hard, i'm on first planet and playing on master and so far it's very good, i like the way you open up the map and find shortcuts and such, real nice.

How much for the controller,i´m serious

Now, I don't know what hardware costs in Poland, I guess it's cheaper because everything is stolen from Germany and resold...
Whenever I watch anything related to this game, I just can't get over the retarded animations. Like the character has a broomstick up their ass. I mean after RDR2, this is hard to swallow.
Play on the last difficulty, tell me if the fight mechanics seem flawless to you then.
You are confusing difficulty with proper implementation. In GoW big enemies have proper weight, momentum etc. In this piece of shit a huge 5 ton frog aim-locks onto you and is able to change the direction it's punching after it started Defeats the whole purpose of dodging.
I'm not confusing anything, it's just easier to spot issues on the higher difficulty levels.
JFO is sloppy as hell, I'll give you that. But GoW fighting mechanics are not flawless.
