ever since the all in one mods stopped being a thing ive never modded again, it was always a hassle
im really supirzed there isnt like some googledrives where streamers share their mod setup that lets u just download the whole thing, copy paste and change a few directories in a txt file or something, why would they need permission to share the mods they got installed, they doing the modders a favor promoting them, modders always had a few screws loose when it comes to pr
especialy with steam workshop, u should be able to make like a mod playlist that some person knows works and tested and likes, that we can then subscribe to or something. one click, a few downloads start and boom, done, checkmark the mods and play

It's not promoting the mod if the mod they share has bugs that needs fixing and they're sharing outdated content. It would be one thing if you could be sure these streamers are extremely serious about updating the package (every week would probably be needed if it has a lot of mods). But its very unlikely the streamer would go through the hassle of that, or eventually he'd grow bored and just leave it like it is and people would play with his perhaps years old outdated source of mods.
So no, it's not a good idea at all. On Nexus modders also gets paid per downloaded, we'd miss out on that.. its not much but its nice to get a little something for the 1000's of hours we spend on doing it.. nowadays it can almost pay my food bill.
i totally get that getting paid is cool, but thats not how modding started right. it was sharing creativity for the love of the game, with side benefit building a name for urself like that, getting fans, donaters, ecetera. The free stuff from the past should be freely accesible without to much hassle, your new stuff that u worked semi fulltime on, yes protect by al means, u earned that right.
Older stuff should/could serve as an addvertizement of ur brand or to ur newer paid stuff in some way. fingers crossed steam workshops gets more expanded and allows u to do such things. I have plenty of steam wallet pennies lying around , pennies for mods , no problem, sell some steam cards.
so a mod playlist would then pop up a steam store purchase notification, want to pay for mod x y z, pay 0.15 euro . Ofcourse steam will take their humangeous cut
its still free content and i doubt anyone spends 1000's of hours of work for the little payment that exists to "get rich", because he won't.. the only way to do good mods is to have genuine interest.
steam workshop is pretty cool, i use it for Rimworld for example, people just share a list of mods and i click them, finished. they get updated automatically too.
I've started playing the special edition again because I have nothing better to do. You really don't need any ENB's unless you like playing at 25fps. Even with a powerful card.
NAT weather mod, SMIM, ELEFX, High poly project, Realistic water two, RUSTIC clothing, Skyland, Blended roads, and of course SKYUI
This game is unusable without SkYUI for me. You can also add quickloot like fallout 4.

It looks WORSE than vanilla.
I'm assuming you installed Noble skyrim textures? They change the artstyle of the game dramatically and it sure wasn't for me. Checn enhanced UV maps, it doesn't change textures just improves them and the mods I mentioned above.
I haven't tried enderal yet but I hear good things.
Not bad for a fan made mod recreating Oblivion and for this partially the E3 trailer and concept art for TES Oblivion through Skyrim.
EDIT: Some assets are placeholders still though and the art direction is a bit all over as is common but yeah for a fan project it's come a long way for what they are attempting to do.
EDIT: On that note the project for Daggerfall XL and Unity is also coming along nicely, must be both difficult to work with but also quite fun to be able to do it ground up without engine limitations.
...And sometimes that leads to entirely different creations from very dedicated fans.
Anyways horsing around aside (Skyrim has mods for that too though...) it's starting to look like Skyblivion here is now going to hit 1.0 eventually with this sort of progress showing and everything coming together little by little, Skyirm has aged a bit but it'll be fun to see one of these mega projects actually getting released.

I guess it's the same deal as with Fallout: Capital Wasteland (Fallout 3 in Fallout 4 engine); they can't use any of the actual assets from Fallout 3 (which halted the project for a while and then continued when they decided to replace all the original voice acting - I only hope someone makes a tool/patch to replace the probably crappy third rate voice acting with the originals from F3).
Wabbajack - An automated modlist installer for TES/Fallout games
The general idea behind this program is fairly simple. Given a Mod Organizer 2 folder and profile, generate list of instructions that will allow a program to automatically recreate the contents of the folder on another machine. Think of it as replication, but without ever distributing copyrighted files or syncing data between the source and destination machine. The end result is a program that recreate a modlist on a computer while respecting the rights of the game publisher and the mod authors.
What Wabbajack can do
Spoiler:
At this point you may be wondering how much of a complex modlist Wabbajack can handle. At this point it's more about what Wabbajack can't handle, but let's do a rundown of all the supported features:
Support for the following games is tested on a regular basis
Fallout 4
Fallout New Vegas
Skyrim SE
Skyrim LE
Support for automatic downloads from the following sources
Nexus Mods (Premium accounts only)
Dropbox
Google Drive
Mega
ModDB
Direct URLs (with custom header support)
Support the following archive types
.zip
.7z
.rar
The following mod installation types are supported
Files installed with our without fomod isntallers
Manually installed mods
Renamed/deleted/moved files are detected and handled
Multiple mods installed into the same mod folder
A mod split across multiple mod folders
Any tools installed in the MO2 folder. Want your users to have BethIni or xEdit? Just put them in a folder inside the MO2 install folder
ENBseries files that exist in the game folder
SKSE install
The following situations are automatically detected and handled by the automated binary patcher (not an exhaustive list)
ESP cleaning
form 44 conversion
ESP to ESL conversion
Adding masters
Dummy ESPs created by CAO
(really any ESP modifications are handled)
Mesh fixing
Texture compression / fixing The following BSA operations are detected by extracting or creating BSAs via Wabbajack's custom BSA routines
BSA Unpacking
BSA Creation (packing loose files)
BSA repacking (unpacking, fixing files and repacking)
That being said, there are some cases where we would need to do a bit more work to develop:
Manually downloaded files
LL Files (currently no plans to implement)
esp to esm conversion (there are hacks for this)
binary patching of non-bsa huge files. 256MB is the largest size Wabbajack can currently handle with the binary patcher]
I really hope this gets some proper traction, it would be a massive boon to a lot of people. And for those who already know how to do it themselves, it would still save a lot of time if you wanted to try some popular modpack such as Ultimate Skyrim, Bevilex's modlist for Oblivion etc.
Nexus is also doing something the same themselves, presumably for integration with Vortex. They are calling them "mod packs" at the moment, but that's an incorrect moniker for what is the same as above, a list of mods to download (and presumably a specific install order).
Also made the change to MO2 last year and have not regretted it ever since. Fallout is a pain in the ass with certain configs already, don't need my Mod Manager to bring in even more problems.
This looks very promising, esp. considering how much time I lose on Mod configuration and sorting which kept me from trying popular setups.
but honestly, wish they would have gone for a new story, land, like fuck ive seen oblivion n morrowind way to much already everytime there was some crazy texture HD overhaul mod already , all that effort could have gone into something extra ordinary - alternate timeline/universe
So, some devs from the Arena - Oblivion decided to get on a rather ambitious project. On board, the dude that created the lore for Morrowind and Oblivion (and in the earlier games)...
Long have the jaws of Oblivion been bound closed, yet there are those who would seek to pry open the maw of destruction once more to meet their nefarious ends. The long shattered heart of an empire has come to the lands of Skyrim’s strife, and waits for one who is bound to it to once again make it whole.
Legacy of the Dragonborn is one of the most acclaimed expansion sized mods for Skyrim which offers without equal; the most versatile, most expansive and most extensive display space for artifacts the Elder Scrolls series has ever seen! On top of offering a Museum for display of nearly 3500 potential unique items and sets (including supported mods), this mod offers an entirely new guild faction you start from the ground up, “The Explorer’s Society”. It offers dozens of new quest, a handful of major quest arcs and numerous useful and unique mechanics all centered around your home at the Dragonborn Gallery in Solitude.
Legacy is designed as a foundational mod to build your load order and entire playthrough around. It is recommended that you START your game with this mod and all chosen supported mods and patches already installed and ready to go. Legacy will change the way you look at Skyrim, change the way you play the game and give you cause and reason for doing everything you do as the Dragonborn. The museum not only offers display space for your loot, but also tracks various accomplishments with detailed displays, shows what you have achieved and where you have been.
As the story of the mod is designed around the canonical aspect of the player being the Dragonborn, it will potentially break some immersion to otherwise play as a non-Dragonborn. The main quest of Legacy centers around it and depends upon certain vanilla quests establishing you as such.
Download today and see why so many people are saying “I don’t play Skyrim anymore, I play Legacy of the Dragonborn”.
