after 3h the game is average at best and same as previous games, if you got bored at borderlands 2 for the lack of innovation then its even worse.
the only good thing i found was the gunplay but even then some of them are mediocre, only the revolver i found felt very satisfying.
even the main 4 characters are different than previous games and feels like they are made more for 12 year olds.
big meh, they went the safest route after all this time... what a big disappointment
I can see your soul at the edges of your eyes..

The account needs to be Russian. I.e. activate VPN, create an account with phoney Russian address and then you can buy games for it (need VPN for buying, not playing).

Unless they changed it since BL3 release you can just switch region if you don't have payment information saved on your egs account.
If you have already bought stuff on egs I think you'd have to contact support to change region, probably would be easier to create a new account then.

This is just silly the patch that came requires 60 gigabytes of free space and download size is about 3 gigabytes. ???

Probably Unreal Engine 4 and one or very few data files so it updates that but requires the same size as that file in order to apply the 3 GB of data for the downloaded update content.
EDIT: Or it's that.
That's worse.

That bug was quite amusing when their featured Streamers on their Twitch channel did not even know what was going on so they downloaded the first patch that was 42 gigs making it the Mac version then having to redownload another 42 gigs to get back to the PC version after that. Lucky for them they had decent connection but it was still about 40 minutes or so trying to figure out the issue as Gearbox was not that quick to fix it.

Thanks men for the help.

There is no real manual save as the game autosaves right before a boss fight or mission turn in so you can just back up that save at those times by looking at the time stamp and keep renaming and reloading or look up BL3 read only farming for a particular boss or quest reward. I used this method to farm Haunt for the Halloween event and for the Lilith Red Chest plus a few of better quest rewards while trying to get anointed versions.
You used to be able to auto trigger saving by just rearranging items in your backpack but the last patch made it sound like they changed that but that would be another thing to try. I have not played the game much in the past month as after going through with 2 characters I got kind of burnt out on it so I have not even run the Maliwan Takedown yet.

Everything is saved right away. You mean the checkpoints. There is one before every boss and then after it. Just kill boss and quit game and you're back before the encounter.

This sequel really surpised me. If you read this watch the reveal trailer once more.
It is the worst trailer I ever saw, full of unintersting stuff.
Then I started playing, and it rocks.

It's basically Borderlands, just more of it, and yep.. I thought it rocked too If you enjoyed BL1/BL2/PS then I don't see any reason why you wouldn't love this one too. DX12 mode fixed the perf issues I had (long initial time aside) even though it was still VERY, unfairly so, system intensive ---- but yeah, still a damned good game regardless. |
yeah, dx12 mainly fixed the single threaded draw calls which caused stuttering so that's what i'm running.
Performance wise: all maxed, only vol fog turned to medium and I have limited the FPS to 53, that way it never goes below that, and no stuttering. (QHD)
Borderlands 2 still runs worse…
Also according to the forums, the latest update really upped the perfomance in dx11 as well.
I was a huge fan of the 1st and the 2nd one, but once they started pushing out the DLCs for the 2nd I stopped caring since they forced some of the missions to be multiplayer only.

The gameplay is rock solid. Gunplay is so above and beyond its precessors...
Started the DLC, it's long, it's story-driven, I like it. It's not "another arena bs" DLC. We already have enough of those.
I just hope there is an end boss worth farming, lol.
Oh and the Calysto Twins are dead, so no more chatter from them... probably the best part haha.

I loved the twins. My main problem with the dialogs (not just the twins, but in general) is that they start them when there is a lot of action.
(Either start one when the player is traveling or exploring, no way I will listen to them when they are attacking)
