Oh it can be automated? (Like if there's no money to draw from?) Yeah that's going to be a tricky situation then and hopefully you can get the chance to explain if that's what happened. Smile

EDIT: That's going to be a pain to get support to listen to though, their logs and such reports will just see the payment cancellation I guess and multiple of them too.

sure, the system isnt perfect. even in normal stores it can work at the paying terminal but can be declined afterwards (we had a customer last month with that: after he had got a letter stating that he has to pay extra fees cause his bank account hadnt enough funds he stormed in and said it was our fault and started screaming around, long story short: he has a house ban Very Happy some people are not very clever). atleast in germany its due to the fact how the system works, if you pay contactless or with signature the system isnt checking if the account is able to do the transaction. if you need to enter your pin its a direct check and only goes through if the money can be transfered immediately. im not talking about credit cards here though, thats always a different story (depending if its an debit card or not). same aspects of the signature transaction goes for allowing an online service to directly get the money from your bank account, when it does that it cant check if its valid so it cant cancel the operation, in the end you owe the company something which ofc can lead to getting your account disabled

Well there was a story on reddit the other day about a guy who one day discovered his account was completely deleted for some reason. Support couldn't even do anything because there was no trace of there ever even being an account. Laughing So yeah everything can happen

Well that's certainly worrying, account data should always have a backup or more available and traces or logging should show any and all changes and activities so that's not a very good sign at all if it can just be deleted and support even for I assume the higher tiers just can't do a thing to restore it.

EDIT: Though EA has had quite a few issues with Origin since it's initial reveal from security to functionality and from these it looks like there's more work to be done still. Smile

1-2 months is enough for me to play what i wanted from there.
Lost a couple of hours to make Saboteur working yesterday, managed in the end, really glad, wanted to replay that for quite some years.

Did EA just give out a month of basic access for free?

Received an email that "I" redeemed a gift card for a month of basic Origin access. Obviously did no such thing, so I suspected it's some kind of phishing attempt. But sure enough, there's a month worth of subscription on my account. Scratch Head

If you had activated 2FA on your account before October's end you are gifted 1 month basic access at the start of November. I still haven't got mine like many other users. I guess they try to minimize the severs load by giving out the free trials in turns...

Same in Serbia. I went for annual basic subscription, because I don't see anything in the comming year from EA that I need to have Premier. I am mostly playing Battlefront 2 or BFV from EA and that is alredy in Basic.
