What competition? To compete you actually have to OFFER something, lowering your revenue share (yet pushing those "savings" on to the customer in the form of payment processor fees and less storefront/game functionality) isn't competition, it's desperation. Valve innovates, they always have, and they continue adding new functionality and QoL improvements to both the store and the PC gaming ecosystem. As for being "free"; why? Soundtracks weren't free before (though some devs do bundle soundtracks as freebies), what this has done is basically cut out middleman places such as Bandcamp/iTunes/Amazon etc, allowing customers to purchase soundtracks separately without the base game itself.

@PredOborG: try to contact Pumpy about it, perhaps there's some sort of glitch in the Humptrix that can be fixed (hopefully!) by the admins' superpowers. I've seen the same problem with other members as well recently, although it might just be part of the experience:

AHHHHH!!! This is it! Thanks! I used to use forum codes without problem but it was screwed up after New Year. Perhaps I have accidentally checked it while I changed to this new icon.
Now I saw the profile preferences and turned out the options "Always allow BBCode:" and "Always enable Smilies:" were checked as "No". Now I changed them to "Yes" and the smiles and code are always enabled without having to uncheck boxes with every new post.   |
Why did you have them off in the first place?
How else would you post a " " at the retarded DerpupDerpist posts? |
