I agree with most his comments, he's spot on about the forced diversity and how GoT handled it a lot better. I only disagree that the social commentary is a cliche. Sure, in this day and age, it kind of is, but was also a major part of the books AND games. It's like he hasn't seen the 'killing monsters' trailer of The Witcher 3.

Oh imho, the Show is ok, DESPITE all those flaws.
That's more like it. It's also a bad source material adaptation. However, the source material is nothing to write home about either.
If a show is good despite all its (numerous) flaws, it's an indication that the source material is strong (enough). While Sapkowski isn't a great writer, his writing gets noticeably better in the later books.
For once I was like.. "Hey, let's try this YT video out, maybe it'll be interesting for once".
Nice bait ! 3 minutes about what Netflix (what the fuck) and The Witcher roughly are, followed by some dude saying "Women can't swordfight, I'm so triggered by Queen Calanthe !1!", and finally those two guys mocking him "I bet he didn't swing a lotta swords ! Hehe !".
Lizzy Talbot has been tapped as the intimacy coordinator for the show. For those of you who don’t know, an intimacy coordinator is a rather recently invented position for film and TV and their duties involve ensuring the well-being and consent of actors performing in intimate scenes as well as making sure the intimate scenes are filmed according to a previously agreed choreography. What this informs us about the story is that yes, there will be intimate scenes in Season 2.
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube
I can't wait for them to come up with other types of coordinators: drinking coordinators, walking coordinators, shitting coordinators, sharking hands coordinators etc...Jesus..

No this is pretty much studio HR Rep always on set to ensure metoo doesn't occur (for both man and waman). There are plenty of stories directors ordering wamen and men around to prance around nekkid on bed, even when there was no scene for it. Just to add it and film it for their resume and see titties. Plenty of actors have to listen or they get fired.
It wasn't such an issue then cause directors as scummy as they were - kept a certain decorum on set. Now not so much cause they be power hungry and need to prove themselves at the cost of their actors.
Am ok with this new role. Before you had agents and shit on set to air out any grievances that worked for the studio rather than the actor. This sounds more in favor of an actor - we will see. It could backfire and become super progressive super fast. Why does she have to show her breasts and Henry never shows his magnificent cock?! It's unfair. Either he shows it to me, or the integral scene won't be filmed cause you're abusing wamen.

Inb4 they film and choreograph the same sex scene again and again exchanging wigs, make up and background.

Sounds like all those no-effort pseudosims coming out on steam

Every position was invented at some point. Sounds like a good one as i'm sure people have been somewhat forced to do more extreme stuff than being informed of.
The Witcher season 2 'casts' Game of Thrones star in key role
The addition of Kristofer Hivju won’t help. Having played Tormud Giantsbane from season three until the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, the Norwegian actor is said to be playing Nivellen in new episodes of The Witcher.
Redanian Intelligence unveiled a season two breakdown that not only appears to confirm Hivju as joining the cast, but says he’ll play a character codenamed “Nigel”.
A 'star' hm, was hoping for Charles Dance. Or Geoffrey.
There is more info on casting. Not gonna spam here with every news article so if you want to see who plays Lambert, Coën, a woman who sounds VERY much like Gaunter O'Dim from Heart Of Stone exp. (probably to pad out the lack of Yennefer in the books at that time), Francesca (and her little brother) and or Eskel you can check out :
Yasen Atour as Coen
Agnes Bjorn as Vereena
Paul Bullion as Lambert
Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen
Thue Ersted Rasmussen as Eskel
Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia
Mecia Simson as Francesca
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
“Killing Eve” alum Kim Bodnia has been cast in the role, one with a very important connection to Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia, for the Netflix fantasy’s upcoming second season.
Kim Bodina isn't a bad choice. I liked him in Season 1 of the Bridge.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
