That's always welcome. It's like a new season, lol.

I really like the changes they made to recalibration. It's so sweet and easy now.

Yes, the new patch looks good, but we need more content

I am still amazed, by the amount of details that went into the game world. I mean you don't see that too often, or at all...

Warlords of New York leakage for what the content will be for the game going forward.

https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/comments/f2082h/first_year_2_dlc_leaked_warlords_of_new_york/

Quote:

New York is under threat. Aaron Keener, a former Division Agent turned rogue, has taken control of Lower Manhattan, backed by four devoted and highly skilled lieutenants. Trained by The Division but disavowing its ideals, they are now the highest authority in town and the most formidable force the Agents have ever faced.

Play in single-player or online co-op:
- A gripping new story, hunting down your nemesis
- A level 30 boost, allowing you to jump right into the Warlords of New York campaign
- A new open world in New York
- A revamped progression system with a level cap increased to 40
- New tactical options: exotics, gears, and skills
- An extended endgame, including thematic three-month seasons

Typical Ubilol crap. Release bad buggy broken lacklustre game -> take months to fix -> Ubi good -> new game in the series launch -> forget all the good stuff -> back to step 1 -> repeat. Laughing

Division 1 had the same issues. Got fixed afters months/years. Division 2 launched without any of the good stuff from D1. Now slowly getting fixed.

Even New York is back. Laughing

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Hm, The Division 2 release was just fine. Certainly not broken. The only "issue" really, was the RNG with endgame items, but the game itself was more than fine.

They learned from everything that'd gone wrong in Div1 (remember ultra-tanky ones-shotters from 1.3? Very Happy).

So do you get any better gear if you play PvP, I usually don't play it but for better gear I might try.

Well, many of the players are not as happy with the game as you would be for 2-3 weeks. Cool Face
The sales were not great and the players don't seem to stick with the game.

How do you know there are people everywhere? The maps barely support a handful of people.

Yeah Year 2 here starts with a bigger expansion than the Episode 3 for Year 1 which is just two missions around one area of New York with a nod back to I think the Cleaner faction.

With content planned once every third month minus delays but if TU7 coming out soon can get things in order and then Title Update 8 for the 2.0 Loot system the game might be in a good place for the mechanics and such allowing for the team to focus on what matters in terms of additional content with this second year update. Smile

So the expansion will be paid and they're adding more stuff but also selling a new edition that bundles most of the existing content and pre-order bonuses together with the usual unlocks but who knows what that will cost since Ubisoft tends to do pretty pricey extra editions or what the expansion itself will cost although I expect 60 - 80 for the premium "Ultimate" edition here if not more and 30 - 40 for the expansion itself and the year 2 content selling it as a whole year of new content and periodic updates this time with a cost so it can also be more extensive than Year 1 was.

Aside from end game I think they're getting things in place now although what I've seen of loot 2.0 seems like a very big simplification but then the existing is a very convoluted RNG and you'd kinda need external charts or info on what's good and max ranges of values and what drops with what to get a good build going.

Although overall difficulty in PvE has gone down a lot so just about anything works there or going with high skill values and just using abilities to do the stuff while hiding behind a convenient mid-sized cover object.

Going to be trying up until Title Update 8 and see how things are once Loot 2.0 is in place and I assume Title Update 7 and the end of the Year 1 content is going to be out very soon. (Minus the raid "Foundry" I believe which got delayed again.)

EDIT: Though as it is an expansion I don't expect the new map to be quite as big as what the main game has on offer or what the first game had for New York even after cutting a bunch of areas out and not adding others in via post-launch content. (That prominent park one for example.)

EDIT: Also expecting promotions and marketing and such as they build up for opening pre-orders for this Year 2 content or expansion or what to call it although existing sales have already gone down to around 5 USD / EUR or thereabout.

Possibly more cosmetic apparel events too although I don't know what's next for that, Easter?
(Oh noes the Black Tusks newest mechanized development the Big Black Cock!)
(Eh probably some yellow colored holiday or modern gen outfits again like the vacation set before with some feather outfit for doing it all heh.)

EDIT: To be fair though the mechanized robo dog things already work as giant dicks for most players and kinda look the part too with that ridiculous anti materiel cannon on them.
(Especially the higher tiers ones or Daisy the named Fuck You walking about and just wrecking everyone's day.)

Goofy looking as all hell and then there goes the armor and 90% of the health in one hit.
(Toned down a bit but they do a odd - especially for that weapon. - triple hit now instead of massive bleed damage so still quite deadly.)

EDIT: And a giant metal rooster firing lasers from it's eyes, fire from it's beak and rockets from it's arse would be too much work cool as it'd be with a new thing to shoot.

So a new Hunter perhaps gillie suit made of feathers? Razz
(Well the prior event repainted that looter enemy and made it drop the snowball SMG, neat but more of a collectible.)

Yes I would expect Ubisoft to be very keen on propping up the dwindling player numbers so that Q1 2020 can have some nice figures to show and overall activity for the game after the content has been a bit limited for some months now and the major revamps and updates have done a bit but not enough so a good discount and some free weekend trials would revive interest just in time for a nice little announcement.

Get the base game out for cheap and then see how many pick up the expansion and all out with hype and features and what's going to change which I suspect tomorrows usual weekly State of the Game video showcase will be focusing a lot on this too getting initial interest up and player expectations for whenever they start actually selling the content.

Time that in with the next update so maybe mid-March and whenever Year 2 will start.

Borrowing a bit from what Destiny 2 did but not entirely confident on going for a Free to Play business model just yet for the base game. Smile

Something they could do but I don't think they have jumped on that business model yet plus For Honor or Rainbow Six Siege would be better suited for that experiment.
(Start with something and see how it's received and go from there essentially.)

And PSN and Uplay now. Bought it on Xbox last night but might splurge the additional $3 to see how it looks on GeForce Now.
