This franchise will never be better. Cameron directing would most likely give us a proper Terminator movie.

Cameron is good at his job.
he also made the only 2 undeniably good terminator movies ever which has to be worth something.

I'd love a future war terminator film by cameron.

He could still fuck it up of course, but he'd have a higher chance to get it right than most.

The last good directing job he did was Titanic maybe, that was 20+ years ago. Just my opinion of course. The problem with this franchise is that the story was told with movies one and two, the end. Besides that, it's a pretty basic action movie franchise. I also agree with Leo, no other Terminator really works if it's not Arnold. Since Arnold is much too old, the franchise is basically dead.

The same could be said about Ridley Scott, yet lately he mostly fucks up.

Terminator franchise is dead Laughing

Only way i can see something good happening is starting over with a low budget movie like T1 and build from there...oh and different story. Laughing

They made the THERMINATORS DERP AF . I dk why they haven''t made them fly yet or just terminator ASSEMBLE . They can heal , replicate wtv . MAYBE NEXT Surprised Shocked ... Its just stupid now.

They should have went to the future after t2 and keep it there.

Time for Terminator to be terminated permanently Cool Face . Current Cameron has lost it and isn't capable of making a decent film. I'll pretend Terminator started with 1 and ended with 2.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

The image of producers/writers/directors dragging Terminator's robotic carcass around for more years and iterations definitely is sadder than permanently pulling the plug and sayonara baby it. Even old Arnie's good intentions couldn't really do much to salvage such painful mediocrity. As long as the current hollysuits behind the franchise are still there, not caring about its quality at all, and seeing it only as an opportunity to add another brick to the *insert mainstream superhero-ish tripeA copypasta with berries* wall of failure, there will never be hope.

Things could change only if there was an intention to create something gritty, atmospheric and meaningful, which doesn't try to disturb the masterpieces of the past (seriously Hollyboo, just stop Sad Laughing), but uses the interesting universe in creative ways to tell different stories.

Somebody could make a movie about judgement day and the aftermath for example. How humanity tries to survive in the ruins being hunted openly and with infiltrators while coping with hunger, thirst and disease. Something really simple with a dense atmosphere, like Ixi wrote.
Too bad nowadays shows like these tend to be/become The Walking Dead or a teen drama.
