Game is fine enough to warrant a buy, but the monotonous level design ruins any sense of adventure. I guess many reviewers didn't play Bayonetta 2 and are hungry for a decent CAG.
Anyone else hate playing as that faggot V? Everytime I'm forced to play as him I just want my guy with a sword gameplay back.

Just seems out of place to play like a pussy and keeping your distance while managing 2 animals that can't hit anything at once. It's just a chore to play as him.

Just means you don't know how to play as him. You can freely reposition them at any point, no excuse to not be able to hit anything.

I get S in missions as him. But I'd say the controls are somewhat clunky especially with multiple enemies, having to position yourself far enough to be safe but close enough for the animals to actually detect and attack enemies. Getting the hang of it but still I'd rather play as Dante or Nero since the last thing I wanna do when I play a DMC game is play like a pussy.
Nope, love V, fantastic character! My brain can't handle controlling that many characters at once sometimes, but yeah... He's a very different play style, but there's nothing clunky about him, you just need to learn how to control everything he has. Your double jump will always bring Griffon back to you as will the side dash bring Shadow back to you. It's a thing I have yet to really get the hang of but it's a must to master that aspect on higher difficulties or your summons will say bye-bye real quick. Oh, and V is no pussy... there is nothing as stylish as orchestrating Ride of the Valkyries to taunt your enemies or read some poetry while you juggle enemies with your summons!
