No you won't. You can no longer select gender, merely appearance. So your character may look female, but who knows what she's packing (or used to) in her shorts.

No, there are still male and female models, it's just that now you no longer choose a gender, merely a "body shape". It's basically their attempt to pander to people clamouring to be able to create trannies with the least amount of programming/art effort.
But since some people will no doubt want to create such a monstrosity, I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't at least some universal clothes options, allowing your "male" character to wear a skirt and stockings if you really want.

Not like the face/clothing is going to matter much since you won't even be able to see the player model in third person thanks to the cutscenes having a first person perspective. I think mirrors might be the only way you see your character model in-game.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

But..but..it's very cyberpunkish if you think about it.
People changing bodies almost at will, transforming into this or that and much more.
Say, putting an old assassin's mind into a body of a 16 years old girl for a specific job etc etc

Not talking about the effects on the game, but more about giving in and pandering to social justice insanity.. But honestly now. Not having any pure male or female is bullshit. Won't happen in any future.
Genderless people will be slammed down on from an ethical point until the end of humanity, especially with it being a norm by tinkering during pregnancy.
So yes, it might all be technically possible, but excuses excuses to pander to social justice rejects.

I don't know man, I'm not a Cyberpunk specialist,.. it's supposed to be fictional, right ?
Whether that slider is "realistic" with regards to biology or the access to transhumanist technology by the average joe in a fictional sci-fi dystopia is stretching it out more than I'm willing to think about.. what remains a slider available in a RPG character creation menu.
Is a nose or a eye colour slider much more realistic or "affordable" ? This gender slider is just another kind of slider to me, it most likely just modifies jaw line, Adam's apple's prominence, thighs, perhaps voice pitch and the such.. I'm pretty sure at least one other RPG game has a similar "gender slider" feature, it seems pretty trivial to add for me.
Imo, it's a rather nice feature to have in itself and it fits with the theme of the game, I can see why you think it's over the top or pandering, but to me it's nothing but a mostly justified gameplay idea which involved nothing more than an equation in a videogame. I seriously doubt CDPR are being influenced by ResetEra or whatever, but that's only assumptions - you're free to assume the other way
If you were actually discussing that "slider" in its hypothetical real life applications in the future, then yeah, sure, it probably won't happen for your average salary man within the next century.. that's a fun and interesting topic to discuss, but I legitimately thought you were still discussing the game rather than real life, and your transition between the two fields wasn't too obvious to me, sorry.

I don't think they have a steady design for any of the player characters, they changed male V a couple of times as well.
For all that we know, this could just be another "preset".
Also you have the option to fully create and customize your character, so..

If it's not a preset then that save will be one of the first uploads to the cyberpunk nexus so it's no big deal

Not that it matters how the player character looks given we can only see him/her (oh wait, no gender here  ) only in mirrors or the character customisation screen since all cutscenes are now first person.
1 and 2 are still amazing.
