Why is it now? You add new character levels, of course you'll need new gear to go with that... Unless you don't buy the expansion and you keep playing the current content just fine with your min-maxed gear or whatever...

Don't get me wrong, mate. There's nothing wrong with adding stuff like that, quite the opposite...
What I'm saying is, instead of adding ACTUALLY new stuff (aside from what seems to be a small version of NY) like new game-modes, for example, or something to keep you engaged when reaching endgame again, it's more of the same again and again, and for $30 + an season pass... IMHO for that price, it seems to be kinda too much for what they're offering so far. I know there will be that new Manhunt thing, which could be interesting, but all I can think of is it's gonna be just a "buffed" variant of the current Bounties system. Still, I'm gonna wait for some reviews before jumping on this new expansion thing
After I buy DLC from RU EGS, I have trouble with Account linking between Uplay and EGS, it just ends with

Well, the new changes from TU8 does seem pretty neat, makes me eager to jump back in the game after months away. Will definitely keep my eyes on the new DLC reviews before buying it (considering+hoping Ubilol don't screw up this again )
You can buy just DLC from Uplay store if you want.
Weird, they really went out of their way to not show the expansion only version on the store, wonder how many people will buy the "Warlords edition for 10€ more, thinking it is just the expansion...

Expansion only - 1499RUB
"Warlords edition, i.e. base game + expansion" - 1339RUB
Ubistore DLC only is 1499RUB aswell, but ofc you can get -20% discount = 1199RUB
Warlords Edition is 1.799.00RUB, or 1439RUB
Ultimate E. is 1999RUB, or 1599RUB
The ultimate edition seems like a scam more than anything. Year 1 season pass at the beginning of year 2? Imho, all you get, is all the special classes unlocked, instead of having to unlock them through a couple of assignments...
Guess it's either buying just the expansion to my base game on Ubi OR buy a new edition on EGS which has a level 30 boost.
When I got the expansion on UPlay it included the level 30 boost plus some preorder stuff.
They have a chart on the Ubi Store showing the differences in the versions if you click on any game. I don't remember it being to far down and that's when I saw there was a separate version.
Also, if you're using those Ubi points for the 20% discount, it doesn't work. I've tried on preorders and it fails and then there's tiny writing saying it doesn't apply to preorders or games within the first three months of releasing.
After the Year 1 pass fiasco, I wouldn't even touch the Ultimate Edition this time around, unless they show us a roadmap or something like it before WoNY releases (which obviously they will not )

Made the same mistake a while ago and wasted 100 points , it only works for games that have been released for a certain period, dunno if it's 3 months or 6 months, but it's something of sorts
I've been working on a TD2 ReShade preset for some days, just need to tweak some stuff and I think it's good to go, if anyone is interested, let me know so I can post it.
I'm using a custom LUT and some minor effects, 1-2 FPS hit, nothing exagerated or too fancy like most presets found over the net, and so far the results are quite nice. Here's an album with some pics (took them in a hurry because I was just finishing a mission, will post more later:
There is a year 1 pass, which makes unlocking some of the advanced classes instant, instead of having to a couple missions first and a gives a couple of short special assignments to get some special cosmetics...
i can´t start some thingamabop mission without year 1 pass but if there is not much else to gain from it, it seems rather pointless. i´ve read that the year 1 bonus will be removed at march so buying now wouldn´t even make sense because they want to release that NewYork addon,right?
30$ for 10 more levels and the map from division 1,is that right?
