Programming was great in RE4, true showcase of GC.

Game had amazing gameplay, level and enemy design, what are you on about? It wasn't the typical survival horror style since it had alot of action, but it was an awesome game on it's own that influenced a whole generation of games to come. I can't believe people are dissing fucking RE4 now, this forum...
RE2 and RE3 already went the action route, never lacked any ammo in those games. They felt like games meant to be 3rd person shooters like RE4, but limited by hardware. The RE4 framework makes alot more sense design-wise for RE2 and RE3, than the RE1 one.
Hopefully he recognized his errors from RE4 and we wont get something like that anymore in RE series
Yes, RE4, one of the best games of all time
And? Where did I say it was a bad game? RE4 isnt the only arcade shooter game that can be called one of the best games of all time.
What is has to do with Resident Evil, tho? What it has to do with survival adventure genre? Besides the fact they reused same characters ans universe? Go play MGS panchiko and tell me how great and faithful MGS game it is.

The descent into action started with RE3 though. The more fast paced gameplay with dodge in it could be seen as a prelude to the direction of the series. Not to forget the Nemesis encounters and increased zombie presence.
Anyway, RE4 gets praise mainly for the pacing. I can only count a handful of games that have the perfect amount of pacing. Also the fight at the beginning where we have one handgun with limited bullets while the entire town is after Leon was something very rare to see at the time. Finding the shotgun the first time was almost a miracle given how the mob swarms the player. Throwing 15-20 enemies and a miniboss almost at the beginning of the game even before the title drop...
Reusing the zombie and door assets from the previous game aside, it looks good.

-It is confirmed Nemesis is the first monster in Resident Evil history to break the "Safe Room" rule. If he's chasing you, he can break into safe rooms.
Prepare your anuses
Also:
-Spiders are confirmed to be in the game! They have a tendency to scuttle all over the place, sometimes towards or away from you, or drop on you from the ceiling. (Also confirm Drain Deimos and Spiders are separate enemies in RE3 and behave differently.)
-There's a slight hint that there may be a couple new monsters in RE3 that weren't in the original, but you'll have to wait to see.
RE3make already superior to 2.

RE2make's Mr. X could also follow you into many save rooms if you didnt lose him beforehand. Not all save rooms, I think it depended on their size, he would only follow you into ones with enough space for him to move about. I remember the shock I felt when I saw him enter my save room while I was chilling out and taking a sip of my Bushmills, it tasted bitter as fuck.
gg Mr. X, gg you motherfucker...
Obviously Nemesis is a whole different beast though, I guess I'll have to practice the evade timing alot given his fast movements and weaponry. Can't wait
It's clarified he cannot break into safe rooms, the journos saw him break into an area with a typewriter and they concluded he can break into safe rooms, but Capcom clarifies he cannot and that room is not a safe room despite having a typewriter. You can recognize the safe rooms by the presence of, well, the safe room music.

I think in this case they might have a good excuse, but it depends. If the typewriter was in a vast place like the one in the RE2make RPD hall and they thought that that place was a safe room then lol.
But if it was more of a closed space, then, I can understand the confusion.

Apparently demo is up on Xbox if you change your region to NZ.
I have not heard any details so far other than that it has no timer (RE2 had a timer if you recall).
