Its just a slow shit story with no redeeming qualities.

The acting in his games makes his writing appear good.
But it ain't.
Mazin is hbo quality now.
Druckman is nbc at best.
Think the wire VS the shield.
Indiana Jones VS Sahara.
Druckman should just give mazin an outline for a story, and have mazin write it. 2 seasons. Make it slow. Make it drag. Make it rewarding. Can't say that for Druckmans games. His stories and outlines are decent just poorly written.

Removing most of the procedural crap from the shield would actually make it a much better show writing-wise.

Those shows are both excellent. Different but excellent. The Wire IMO is definitely superior though.
I would prefer The Wire pacing here though. The best moments in TLOU wasn't the action bits (but those weren't bad at all).

That may be true but adding the procedural stuff makes the show look more like a drama involving cops (mostly of course) and their everyday work which is one of the show's strong points IMO. However if The Shield would be made purely procedural it wouldn't be nearly as good.

If Baker was made older and more "look-a-like" he would be great for that. He killed it in the behind the scenes stuff. The actress who played Ellie would be great too, they had good chemistry.
However i don't think there won't be a known face (not a known voice) playing the main character(s).
So Baker aside i think Waldau from GoT or maybe Jackman would be good. Waldau being the more affordable.
