Alright so here's what's been happening for me. I tried all the methods posted above and none of them worked. I kept getting the Original disc cannot be detected or whatever it says. I'm using the DVDclone by the way.

Anyway, the way I got it to work was to use curerom with alcohol 120% and have all the same options as posted on page 3 except using 7 seconds instead of three(may not matter but that's what I had it just now) and then I also used SR7.stop 1.2. I got the security module message when sr7.stop is open but when it's closed it runs fine. I don't know why it needs that too for me but maybe it can help you guys. Good luck

What I hate is that the strategic map is real time, while you're deciding your next move the computer is taking over planets all the time. It should be turn based.

I hope the strategic map in BFME 2 is turn based.

This worked perfectly fine for me, only difference being that i use DT 4.03 and not 3.47.I also tried a bunch of other methods with the other tools just for fun and only this one can run the game on my rig.

I also updated to 1.02 with no problems.I haven't seen any glitches , crashes or or bug so far after playing the tutorial for 30 min.Runs very smooth with everything maxed at 1280 x 1024 full AA/16 AF.

Just started a campaign with the Empire and the game is decent so far but i fear that it may become repetitive as there seem to be few strategies other than to kill everything in sight.

just got home from work, downloaded the bwclone cd version, mounted on DT 4.03, installed, then launched, said "emulator detected". went to daemon tools site and d/led seciurom loader, started securom loader browsed to sweaw.exe and open and game started up nice and good, no need to mess up with curerom/sr7.stop or any registry settings. I wonder if I got lucky because I see people going to extreme lengths to get this to work. BTW I have my drive still plugged in.

I tried some other stuff this morning and if one does exactly as it says in the NFO and burn a CD using Blindwrite there is no need with any emulation or Securom etc etc. This is ofcourse using the CD version, witch this thread is all about...no? hence the titel of the thread...no?Wink

"Unrar, Burn CD1 Using BlindWrite 4.5.7 (disable Autoplay in Options), burn in DAO PW at 4x, click "YES" when asked if you want to physically include BWA information."

I also agree with deathshead2k5 "good gfx, but i can see this game getting old quick" and very repetative.

works like a charm for me using the curerom and DT 4.03 method.
Patched to 1.2 with no problems at all.
Only problem is, I have no key config AT ALL!
Everything is set to "not set" which is pissing me off...

If it's easy can someone send me their config file? to fillem@gmail.com or is that a request?

Hmmm, I guess this aint science, could be a combo of whitch DVD/CD burner you have and also whitch CDs you are using. Beats me, but it sure is working for me.

Do you still have D4 or something activated? couse I just start from that CD, NO emulations nothing. I draged the Icon out from the Start Menue to create a shortcut (deleted the orig when I was playing around with the Securom stuff) so the game just starts as it should, using the "LaunchEAW.exe"

I bured using :
Aopen DUW 1608 DVD/CD Combo burner
Sony CD-R 700MB disc

problem solved: dt4.02 + curerom1.3b with 10 sec waiting time+ putting the game exe (not the launcher) in win 2k mode

for curerom, use the 2nd page 5th post from the top

I've got error message evry time i try to start

A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed.

" Unrar, Burn CD1 Using BlindWrite 4.5.7 (disable Autoplay in
Options), burn in DAO PW at 4x, click "YES" when asked if you
want to physically include BWA information. "

did the same, dl the blindwrite 4.5.7 from offical site, install run...
put in a cd ... step-by-step methode like it written down.

finally: i've got this error message

"If mounting in DT4, use Curerom to get around lame blacklisting. "

tried this one too, (if i'm right the dt4 is daemon tolls 4)
have it ony my pc, nothing mounted + Curerom :error message
mounted + curerom: error message

mounted by curerom: error message
(also tried out with turn off the dt4 - exit, with )

any idea?

need proper setup for curerom? (I think application: the exe in gamedata dir on hdd, image is the bwl where i extracted if the setup parameters are not these pls write it to me)

winxp sp2, directx 9.c, norton internet secutity 2001 (updated), nav, (but it didn't asked the firewall for net connection)

any idea? Tod

in time still tryed out with serucom loader1.0: error message: unable to get secret value

with sr7.stop:A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed.
with antilah:A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed.
curerom 1.0:A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed.
curerom 1.2:A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed.
in time also tryed with dt 3.4, 4.0,4.03 and get the same message

+ writing out again: same
(checked the forum: curerom setup: page2, 5th post from the top - still not working)

PostPosted: Sat, 18th Feb 2006 16:33    Post subject: DIfferent Systems CD/DVD drives have different results.
I can confirm that different systems, CD/DVD drives have different results. I burned EXACTLY as NFO says

"Unrar, Burn CD1 Using BlindWrite 4.5.7 (disable Autoplay in Options), burn in DAO PW at 4x, click "YES" when asked if you want to physically include BWA information."

I then installed the game on my system, I got it working fine by using CureROM 1.30b ( started CureROM lite autoenable, then ran sweaw.exe) worked perftect. Later that night I installed it on my buddies computer. At the end of the installation I noticed I didn't have to load an image file for it to read Disk 1 at the end of install as it did on my computer, rather his computer completed install with the burned Disk 1. Since it was able to read the CD to complete installation, I figured it just might play the game as well. Sure enough the game loaded right up with NO emulation, NO virtual drives, NO CureROM, NO daemon!!!
So obviously the two different systems I used had different results. For reference my system is an older athlon, Lite-On CD Drive. My buddies system is a brand new Dell, awesome machine, which uses those new wires replacing IDE cables, I don't know maybe that has somethin to do with the differences.
