Booooring. Definitely not my style of comedy; dry while silly, a combo that rarely works for me unless there's some thought behind. There was so much potential with the setting (and the budget seems big).
i dont get the imdb score as its exactly like his other works just different enviroment. probably people thought it was going to be some straight forward comedy
I watched first 2 episodes last night. Had difficulty even raising a smirk and i have a pretty low bar for comedy shows. I will persevere with the rest of the season tho.
The corona crisis adds another layer to this show, I'm enjoying it Also like how they play with Hugh Laurie's accent
The numbers don't decide, the system is a lie. The river running dry, the wings of butterflies.
And you may pour us away like soup. Like we're pretty broken flowers.
We'll take back what is ours. One day at a time.
Yeah, I lack humor. That must be the answer. You're so clever. I guess I should delete all my comedy shows and movies, throw away my complete collection of Red Dwarf, Father Ted and so on.
Seriously, why do some people get so defensive just because someone else doesn't enjoy the same show as they do? Some kind of confirmation neediness thingy?
satire but probably best to check the showrunners other stuff first..like the thick of it
Yeah, I've been meaning to give it and Veep a try. But then not all shows by a creator are guaranteed to work with the same audience. Just look at Alan Ball after Six Feet Under
