Having to shoot a zombie 10 times in the head with an AR is very nice indeed.

I said targeting of objects, not combat aiming. The game does some sort of auto-targeting on the object you can interact with and it does an extremely poor job when there is more than one object in front of you.

In regards to zombie resilience, if they'd made Zombies drop from a single hit they'd either have to:

1. Give you practically no ammo.
2. Drastically increase the amount of enemies.

They already nerfed zombie resilience a lot in comparison to Remake 2. They drop faster and tend to stay down a lot more reliably.

I don't think they dropped the zombie's resilience at all. I played that game on Hardcore with Claire and I didn't have to do 10 headshots with AR to kill one zombie. They usually went down with 5-8 pistol headshots.

There's nothing wrong with having less ammo and/or more enemies. I think they just kept the zombie tough to artificially extend the playtime.

Ah ok on the resilience, doesn't bother me anyway. Though I will agree with Steelone, that here the resilience seems to have been reduced, not increased.

Haven't had any autotargeting issues that I remember.

Capcom has a survey asking if people are interested in more REmakes and on which console (this or next generation): https://www.resetera.com/threads/new-resident-evil-survey-asks-if-youd-buy-another-remake-title-possibly-cvx-or-re4.179687/

Bring on CV pls.

why is it still acceptable this day and age monsters that get hit by fire or acid show no visible melting or burning on their models ... is it that freaking hard to make interactive models that change in stages ?

Like asherons call 2 had that already in freaking 2002 ? where the model got more and more cut and wound marks and bleeding effects the more u hit it

no skuls bursting open from bullet hits or limbs falling of .. Sad just shitty decal splatters, so fucking cheap

The gore and body mutilation has been downgraded a lot compared to RE2 Remake. For console peasant reasons.
I am hoping for a mod that restores that shit on PC no reason to hold the masterrace back.

Just reached the hospital on Nightmare with no special items. So far so good. Everything Went Better Than Expected The hardest part is Nemmy so far, in his various forms, however there are some fun differences they have put in the game compared to the easier difficulties. Razz

it was good and all and i will get every cent out of this, since im gonna 100% complete this just like re2.

but i agree with many reviews. it's not only too short (under 4h30mins on normal, without rushing, 5 1/5 hours in steam) but is also missing a lot of things.
and i don't even mean old areas or puzzles. somehow i just don't get the feeling for a AAA game, it really feels like a dlc.

they should have added a carlos campaign so no one can complain. also i don't understand why new tofu runs and stuff like this hasn't been added, i guess it's too much to asked for.

nevermind, i had fun and will 100% it anyway, even if it's far behind resident evil 2.
hope nemesis will be a challenge on hardcore, since on normal i never had to dodge him once. (except for boss fights) "on no nemesis" just throw a grenade, loot his weapon parts and keep on going like nothing at all happened. safe rooms everywhere, no need to fear him at all.

Beat it in 4.5 hours of game time... feel like i took my time too making sure i grabbed all the loot.

$60 is a joke for this, paid $45 and it was still too much. Still enjoyable and i liked what little part of the city we see.

Anyone else notice the shitty framerate of zombies if they're far away from you? Like im talking 15-20 fps zombie animations if a zombie is 100 feet away..

haven't noticed it while playing re2 on my old 60hz monitor. then i played re2 on a friends pc, who had a 144hz monitor and i noticed the stutter in the background right away. everything seems normal, but zombies moving in the background had this weird stutter.

now i got a 144hz monitor too, so i noticed it in resident evil 3 from the beginning. haven't tested it with 60hz in resident evil 3, but my guess is, it's gone with 60hz.

If you played on standard that's way too easy, took me 10 hours of slow exploration and unlocking everything on hardcore. Of course now on Nightmare, while it's even harder, I'm much faster than that since I know what to do.

If you played on hardcore, well, ok, you are pretty good Smile

Same as in RE2make. There are hexedit mods that fix this for both games.

I beat it on normal for the first run in the thought I’d play it again on the harder difficulties..at this moment in time I don’t really feel like stretching out a 5 hour game to 10 hours with artificial difficulty.

Probably at some point will give it a shot on the next difficulty level

It's not artificial difficulty level though, standard in this game is easier than RE2make's standard, it's like playing on easy.

Now even if you play on hardcore since you know how the game plays, you will blast through it.

Nightmare is where things start to get interesting/different, it rearranges items and enemies. It puts a lot of zombies in sneaky places which is quite fun as it brings back some much needed tension.

Many many more zombies are the tentacle versions in Nightmare, doing long range attacks (and I have yet to figure out a good perfect dodge strategy for them, I miss the timing more often than not). More than just 1(or was it 2? can't remember) licker in RPD, pale heads in RPD, lickers and pale heads in hospital, along with more hunters. Dunno what else will come up next. This game barely had any zombie dogs, I hope they have more encounters in this difficulty, but so far.. nope. Sad

Finished Nightmare with no special items (last Nemesis fight with a trainer because I ain't got time (hours) to become a dodge master). Honestly, the number and quality of the changes in this mode follows the quality of the game itself; very good changes at first, continues to do some interesting stuff with the Carlos levels, but the last 2 levels with Jill, they are eh, barely anything has changed (or changed enough to be memorable to me).

I'll probably try Inferno with some guns bought from the store next.

Can't help but think of all the ways they could have delivered something much better with this game, it had the potential to be something truly outstanding, but I've had fun with it as it is and got my money's worth. But can't help thinking "what if they did x", on pretty much everything.

Yeah Inferno is quite a Pain, got snugged a couple of times by those Vagina suckers. And i agree the Dodging in the last fight felt kinda broken. Got slammed quie a bunch of times and decided to go your route aswell with Fling. Guess i am getting to old for this shit.

I really like the play area and enviroments, but the dodging stuff is not my cup of tea, i prefer the one time defense weapons more from RE2. And the lack of Puzzles is a bit dissapointing, now you get more QTE shit with Nemesis which i am not a fan of either but Nemesis itself is done nicely.

This Game would have been indeed placed better as a DLC for RE2make, the Resistance thing is kinda meh.
