Also for those who don't know: you CAN use mods with this game. Some are really a must-have like the Perk mod that lets you quickly swap to different load-outs.
learn to read the mod titles, its all just UI and texture replacement mods ... just a tiny fraction of what was modded in the past, nothing that affects the serverside of things , just client side stuff, no extra content or gameplay changes
can you store power armor?
I found one and wondering if I should take it?
it has barely a charge in it's fusion core
edit: apparently to use T-51 armor you need lvl 30 so stripped it and left it
edit2: apprently once you enter a power frame and exit it it will be stored in 60sec to your stash
you can abuse this to put power armor pieces on it and it will only weight 10lbs
Well, I guess that's more of a compromise for it being online than anything else. If the world was static, the armor would be left behind wherever you'd exited it.

Yes, you can store PA. Once you enter one, you essentially claimed that frame, and you can collect it once you exit it (press Space).
And yes, you can store heavy parts on a lighter frame, and the inventory only counts the frame itself. It's very convenient to get a frame, put a PA set on it, rename that frame, and then store it in your stash.
Using this "exploit" to loot PA parts however isn't really worth it. Once you get a full set of max level X-01, there's no need to get any more, except for breaking them down for salvage or a chance to get a mod plan.
Anyway, do I have access to same char/s on steam as on bethesda launcher or are those separate?
Yep, Beth/Steam characters you create are the same on both platforms, just the usual Atom$ scam that wont transfer to your steam acc (purchased items will be usable regardless the platform though)
So, apparently one of the quests require me to revive a party member. I really don't want to bother with randos. Anyone want to team up for a second so I can knock this one out of my to-do list?
Just played a couple of hours and pleasantly surprised. Once I'd switched from borderless to windowed it ran surprisingly well. I found that other human players seemed respectful and minded their own business as I scavenged for building materials. Going to pick this up again tomorrow when I get home from work.
So far it is smooth sailing. Arrived in Grafton, oh my god, all these Super Mutants... Loots Galore And they respawn constantly, lol.
But I can definitely see, how at release, without any (Human) NPC's, that this would have probably been a different experience. And that's not even with all the bugs and issues they had at launch
Anyway, for 17€, so far, this is the most Fallout I've seen, since New Vegas.
Thanks again StrEagle. In my house the internet is very shit. If it starts lagging, it's only a matter of minutes until things get unplayable. Since the quarantine everyone is on the net, and if it gets bad in my area, it gets REAL bad.
Thank again for the help, and good luck with the rest of the challenges.
Got to admit, it improved quite a bit since even a few months ago.
BUT, given how much incredible mistakes Bethesda managed to make since launch, it remains to be seen just how long they can keep this up before the next miserable failure.
Still, displays and camp vendors are disabled for a few days at this point, so it's not exactly without issues.
I don't understand how you could support and play this title, no wonder studio's release alpha quality stuff these days.
I've heard about a year and a half of whining about this game from people who never played the game but parrot the same stuff they hear from others who parrot from twats like YongYea that salivate at the idea of slamming certain games at every chance.
Yes, the lack of NPCs made for an empty game (although it didn't bother me that much, I loved the serenity of it all), yes their Atomic Shop has ridiculous prices and yes they screwed up a few times when it came to exploits. But besides that, it's still a very fun game with lots of beautifully crafted locations to explore. You can get it pretty darn cheap and you don't have to spend a penny more after you buy it for easily 100-150 hours of content and exploration.
So before judging, at least play it. I notice a lot of those judging it a year ago are now admitting they enjoy it and trust me, the added NPCs don't magically make it a completely new and different game - 90-95% of it is still the same and it shows the game was still pretty fun despite Bethesda's screw ups. But that goes for ALL Bethesda games.
No thanks, I prefer finished products that work on release, don't try gouge me or require me make excuses for the shortcomings. You also don't have to look far for a mature & polished "rust" clone either, or just play Rust?. Anyway I'm sure Bethesda will invest more time and effort in the next release given gamers are passing on this title, oh wait.

Pretty much this. For 10 bucks, this shit was a steal. I spent more money for worse games before.
suprized they didnt do more play for free events sofar or havent announcd one yet, only heard of one weeke sofar they did.I played in that one and it was terrible experience, from mob ai to gfx to lifelesness
For 10-15 bucks i agree it gives that fallout fix for many bored peepz right now with all the additions. Its all about principles and pricing.
Gotta admit the online only things was their best anti pirate solution sofar it seems ? OR can u play on emulated servers these days?
