Last time I played through the Xenosaga (undub) trilogy (pre 2018 I think) I didn't have any issues.
Everything worked just fine on the OpenGL renderer incl. widescreen patches.

Xenogears is the game that needs a proper remake the most of all. It had a great story and characters and was butchered so badly on the 2nd disc.

Because I sure as shit don't want present Square Enix anywhere close that game, if it happened.

Licensing, getting the original team or at least writer and other leads on board and then Square or Enix and then Square-Enix going through multiple project leads and burnouts and fatigue to where I doubt some of them would want to return.
Wonder how the situation looks behind the scenes for Final Fantasy VII-R that many years for expanding one area and like one third of the first disc compared to the original?
(Although it might also be due to some of the older talent like Nomura being given more free reigns and doing whatever which might be part of the dev troubles and lengthy development time too for all I know.)
Would be really nice to see some of these given a second chance but just a re-release could be hindered by all sorts of things and then some genius throws a bunch of bilinear filters over the pixel art or you get stretching to 16:9 and hell knows what.
Fan translations for some of the more unknown titles or fixing some of the early 1990's English scripts a bit and fan patches might be better and I suppose it's also gone from Playstation to Nintendo platforms now with the newest games and whatever the rights and licensing situation looks like for this franchise and the characters and then voice work, music and yeah that would be a complicated affair wouldn't it.

What what whaaaat??? |
Huh? I thought it was well-known fact. It has 2 extra dungeons (small), playable Maria and some weapon changes and some other small stuff.
Only maria was added to PSP re-release.

Hi guys I just started using CXBX (XBox emulator) to play the old mech assault games. The first game works but the second one is just a black screen unfortunately btw)
I've run into an unexpected problem however once im in game. I'm using my old 360 gamepad and have mapped out the controls as default but the controller's right stick is moving the mouse around too. Which is causing all sorts of havoc behind the scenes whilst the emulators running lol. It's opening programs from the desktop and it's switching the emu on and off by going on and off the desktop amongst other things.
Is there any way to disable the mouse whilst in a game at all or any other work around about?. I've tried searching google and haven't found any solutions only other users asking the same question as me.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you. Such an odd problem that is preventing me from playing the game.
ps: switching the emu to fullscreen mode doesn't help or solve the problem either.

Sounds like a Steam problem. Close down steam and run the emulator.
Alternatively you can also:
uncheck the Xbox configuration support for your Xbox 360 controller in the Steam controller settings.
or
In controller settings for big picture mode changing the settings for your right analog stick. Think its default binded to web browser or something.
Naturally if you use the controller on Steam and don't want to diddle with the settings than the easiest thing would be to just close Steam whenever you do non Steam things.

Goddamn is that Steam gamepad thing annoying.. it's practical for a handful of games who don't properly support gamepads/have bad remapping options; but it pretty much fucks with every other one in the meantime.

I wonder if we'll see some cross over on other systems.

I'd rather see an FPGA implementation of PS2, it's been 20 years already, come on!

I had a blast playing emulated Resistance split screen, works almost as well as native PS3 which I gave to my younger sibling years ago
Hardcore titles are progressing very nicely on this emulator.

Do you need a GPU powerhorse to play PS3 games? Or is it CPU and RAM-bound?

My current PC is 6 years old...(buying new one probably next year) I have 16 GB ddr 3 Ram, i5 i54670k and gtx 970....
I am running it on Vulkan latest offical version of the Emulator, and it seems to be enough for full speed and 1080p.
