What the hell was the point of this season? I thought the story was extremely by the books. "Oh my god we are controlled by AI, it knows everything let's riot now we know". "You are the chosen one random guy, you did not rape me". "I am terminator everyone needs to die. Oh wait, one random guy might be able to do some good. They DO have free will". "I will join the dark side as a ninja just for lulz, oh wait I'll change my mind last minute because *tears*". "I am the tough old guy who's back because viewers liked me. I'll just keep acting tough one-dimensionally because that's what I do". I can go on still. Who the hell wrote this crap?

Aaron Paul was terrible in this.

Wow. This may be one of the worst seasons of television I've ever seen. Not that anything horrible happened, but it was just such a pointless season of television. Why is this show even still in production at this point? It seems clear the writers didn't have a plan for the show beyond Season 1.

I was giving this season some credit still, but the last episode was trash and pretty much ruined the season.

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

Still 4 eps to go but so far this is like a tech demo for a TV show: a nice way to present your effects and wardrobe, but everything else is just so so shallow. The only actor that's enjoyable to watch is indeed thandie newton, big noggin rachael is pretty to look at but there's nothing there.

4treyu's toyboy aaron paul doesn't even register, nothing there too Laughing

Maybe I'll watch the rest of the season later, can't stand any more of this tasteless slop today Neutral

Nah, it was on some other thread... maybe the need for speed movie before it was released or something like that

It got even worse ep5 onwards... how? Laughing
The action laughable, the writing cliched and barebones, the characters boring (the best part was dumpy mopey aaron paul leading a revolution and having the best character (Maeve) telling people he was more dangerous than he appeared).

And the "twist" at the very ending Laughing

What a rotten way to (not) die. And to think that HBO used to have some of the best writers in the business for their flagship shows, where proper, meaningful character development could shine through the plots providing depth and constant enthrallment. There is absolutely nothing left in here Okay

S03 felt like a byproduct of a bad video game (also powered by Mark and ExecuteⓇ) with so many banalities that it actually made me revaluate the second season and its numerous disappointments, which says a great deal about its quality. The acting wasn't exactly remarkable either, many faces were tired and those who made an attempt were visibly held back by the insipid dialogues/plot devices. Reading that the absolute madmen have intention to prolong the agony up to six seasons is both baffling and amusing in a masochistic way.

Haha smashing!

Cassel is a good actor, but sadly both his character and the tripe-y writing made him look like a fool. The direction in general was often misguided too, an all-around failure despite the high production values.

Person of Interest? Wow, I didn't know that mediocre, cheap procedural had fans. I mean, it was ome of those series you watch to pass the time, or while eating etc. Like Burn Notice. It doesn't require your full attention.

Seasons, no. One or two episodes, maybe.
I like, how the show was started, even before Snowden leaked PRISM info.

Yeah, the last season was rushed. But also, I don't feel like the ending made much sense within their world. The whole thing of muh machine hidez muh identity from yo machine, in real time Laughing was silly. But the last season was really condensed and they couldn't properly finish it. I do feel they could have continued.

@VGAdeadcafe Like Burn Notice, I liked the earlier, episodic format better than the latter, narrative-driven storytelling, but whereas Burn Notice totally disintegrated in its latter seasons, Person of Interest was good until the end, just not as good as it was in the first two seasons.

Aaron Paul, just cannot get away from the drugs Laughing Laughing

Have to say, loving the season so far. I like that they focus on a much smaller group of characters each episode, rather than jump around like they previously did.

I don't understand why AI overlords are always shown as manipulated by Teh Even Human, and thus becoming a dystopian system? I mean, here and Person of Interest, the premise is similar. I'd really to see for once a system where it actually works.

So bar the one comment above, doesn’t sound like I’m missing much. S1 was epic. I stopped 3 episodes in S2 as it was shite. S3 sounds even worse!
