Yea I remember doing original Molten Core with 40 people and the Anniversary thing with 40 people.
I don't need to tell you which time it ran at constant 100fps+.
Y'all have played the "attack/defend undercity" scenarios or that arathi conquest thing
They run just fine with hundreds of people/npcs.
Sure the main difference between retail and "vanilla" isn't the buttload of addons you use?

There has been server/instances crapping out since BFA though.
Most of the time it runs fine, but then there is zone specific lag. It's random by location and time but its been there since the start of BFA. You could experience nothing of it while another big chunk of players do and vice versa.
Now to say Vanilla ran brilliant and we had big battlefields... yeah... nostalgia
Guess some people forgot the free days we got for them and the slideshows that happened at Southshore/Tarren Mill or events at times because too many people. Or even crash servers once in a while.

buy rare pets one realm, sell rare pets other realm.
Obvious: check prices on both realms, you might even make a profit

Maybe buy the ones that actually sell rather than just any
Ny'alotha ones should do fine.

Like Stormwolf, I don't really get your meaning... I'm going by: you think its too easy?
There's plenty of time travel in WoW for a while now. Bronze Dragon flight after all (Chromie being one). And frankly they needed to do something to clean up the experience for new players (and old, but I doubt they feel like updating the old world). This method at least fits the game and should not be seen as more to it than just that.
So can't say it bugs me that much.

Yeah, New Player or even Alt-Leveling is a Chore, if you have to touch on all the expansions "a bit", just to get enough XP to skip to the next one.
They should streamline the old expansions, so You can like finish the entire story, but way quicker than before.
Like, Cut out all the filler quests, etc. and make it 1 quest chain from start to finish for the old content/expansions. Including like "Singleplayer story mode dungeons and raids" so people can consume old content otherwise impossible to do, unless you have 4-36 friends ^^

any change that will cause a drop in level boost sales, will be fought hard by the number crunchers
i dont think they have the recources to overhaul the experience that well, they barely have enough manpower to finish the next expansion, its gonna be another rush job like bfa, the whole main feature covenants is already a complete fail, just like bfas core features and gearing
probably will be first exp i skip on launchday, depending on how bored i am when it gets finnally released, dont feel like doing another bfa feel where u could just feel it was beta for azeroth and i was "paying" to betatest

I know that was a bit cryptic.
So:
I never fancied the time travel aspect in WoW. I found it a too convenient way to push content forward.
And now, all of a sudden, a NEW, fresh player, with it's (in theory) fresh new character, at the start of the game, is confronted with a quantum-level 'another convenient' option to choose a bloody timeline... For me, this is turning into a 'MacGuffin' that it's pushed in a much too 'Star Wars' 2019 way. It simply BREAKS the narrative and turns the content into an even more casual fest.
Tl;dr: I don't like the time-travel bullshit in WoW.

Well who cares WoW is allrdy a clusterfuck of different timelines and dimensions for many years it's almost impossible to unfuck without starting from scratch at this point.

Atm the 'unfucked' version is Classic.
But, no worries, I am sure they'll find a way to fuck this up too.

New fresh players cant choose old expansions. They go to Exile’s Reach 1-10lvl, BFA 10-50, Shadowlands 50-60. This timetravel stuff is for alts.

It never bothered me as much as that alternative reality crap. But I get you.
Btw new players won't get that option. They will do: New starter area->BFA->Shadowlands.
It's us oldies that get to chose where to do the 10 to 50 levelling.
They could always unfuck the old world with their instancing and adding back removed content but: cost too much, takes too much time and they don't care as much seeing how they always mostly abandon content that is not current content. Cata being a bit of a flop has a hand in that.
It always bugged me that approach, but I accepted it in WotLK that it would never change.
Ah well, we'll see if Shadowlands will be the end station for me (again).

Why not just remove leveling altogether, there is really no point to it after this.

The whole leveling experience was a part of the wonderful journey one would make in the game. With this removed and streamlined to cater to rushing casuals I see the game straying even farther from it's roots.
Yea, I know this is not the WoW we knew anymore.
Just sayin'.

Levelling alts is a chore, nothing else. It serves absolutely no purpose to replay content you already played through several times. It's also not like it takes so long, that it would make sense from an income pov. A few days and you are back at the current content.
People should given the choice at the creation of an alt, once you have a max level char, to create an alt equipped with green gear at the entry-level for the current content.
And maybe even give them all the (basic, not looted) recipes etc. for any chosen profession.

Alts fuck over an economy even more. I have 45 120's (mostly for mount farming). When there's a gold emissary it takes me about half a day to get 100k gold. Trust me, its no fun and I normally don't do it (did it twice so I can buy the expansion with gold).
So I don't think it be that wise to just hand em out. Also at 120 it takes about half a day to be up to speed gear wise to start doing the more challenging things. Imagine if they hand out max level characters... I'm sure they'll make the process longer and the catch up systems non existent.
