So today that is a bullshit answer as that refined shit is as normal as anything else. I call it shit, but i love it

What are you saying exactly?

Yeah, had to reread my sentence again to understand it. Well, refined food is just as normal as anything else these days.

All of this discussion is definitely not making me want to run any sort of check-up - which I will regret in the long run Laughing I do cook pretty much all of the time but I know I'm consuming way too much sugar, particularly when the munchies kick full blast, the combination of insatiable hunger and laziness is deadly. Very Happy
..And I'm starting to feel like shit afterwards whenever I do it, as opposed to when I was younger.

You also have to take it to the next level for certain foods that require extra effort and apparel, aka home-made yogurts like Sin is making.
Good luck on your diet man !

I guess you mean refined foods are ubiquitous. Which is true but just because this trash has become the norm doesn't make it good!

No one says "ubiquitous", but yes.

Omlette du fromage. Cool Face

On-topic, how are you feeling now Sin? Have you gotten used to the dietary changes? Have you made any long term adjustments to any of your daily habits? Hope you're coping with them fine.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Had a bit loss of focus on m near sight, but that's almost gone.

Dietary I am fine, I need to lose a lot of weight anyway, and this is a godsend in disguise. I always "work" better under pressure and with real motivation. Otherwise, I don't get anything done.

So I look at this as an opportunity to turn my (health) life around and become thin and healthy Smile

And by the way, eating a lot of meat, veggies, and salad isn't the worst thing in the world ^^. And tbh, I am quite happy to not be able to eat all that sugar/salt/fat garbage food out there anymore.

And I can still eat cheese, so who cares, right? ^^

Yeah, that's a good attitude to have to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle. And you are able to eat cheese in the end so that's a win

made some new homemade jam.

500g of raspberries, 500ml water, bovine gelatine, and a bit of artificial sweeter.

That's almost a kg of jam, containing 3.5g of sugar per 100g Smile Instead of 50g or so per 100g in conventional jam Smile

and what u gonna eat that jam with ? bread ? processed toast Confused

boil/bake urself some eggs or potatoes, now thats a wholesome meal in one tiny package

wasnt that fat comedian pen n teller who lost all his weight just eating potatoes for a month like he lived on mars Razz

my breakfast for the last few years has been a banana and a boiled egg (sometimes water steamed sunny side up egg), zero time spent in kitchen, on average i spend 5 mins in kitchen a day tops

kitchen and bathroom, places some people just lose 25% of their awake life literally cooking themselves to death lol

I replaced bread with puffed full-grain cakes. 4 of them is like 1 slice of bread and it's like 99% grain and 1% salt.

dont those cost like a ton of money , like 15 eur a kilo , dont bilieve the marketing, grain industry is just like the milk industry

they would paint their bread brown just to make it look 'healthy'

hm, I guess if you go by the kilo, it would probably add up to add, yes, but 100g is like 20 *cakes*, so it lasts me like 3-4 days. And that's for like 1.50€. So that's quite alright Smile

per kilo is where the profit happens, branded icecream goes for like 10-15 eur a kilo, while the cheap stuff is only 3-4 eur a kilo Sad

for 10 euro i can buy like 4-6 kg of good veggies n fruits, i stopped buying anything that is like 10+ a kilo as most of it was puire profit scam territory Sad

but ofcourse fruits is a tricky bit now i guess due to its natural sugar content, check out the cheap nuts like bags of mixed wallnuts , peanuts n hazelnuts, real good source of fats n energy, just stay away from the 'student food ' mixbags, those have less nuts and double the price, find the cheap own store brand bag , they are half the price of the branded shit

my favorite mixbag is Dried Roasted corn & Peanut, that stuff smells heavenly and tastes real good, probably tons of salt and also expensive but its like my only snack Razz

another fun snack, a simple raw carrot , supercheap and fills like an apple would
