Just a hint - yet another game you do not a cd-key. If you use kerio you can block the keyentry.exe application Smile

in galactic conquest I was unable to build imperial star destroyers, the 4th level tech ship, I was however able to build the death star, tech 5.

Anyone know what's up with that? :\

Stardestroyers are only buildable on the Planets Kuat, Fondor, Sullust and Mon Calamari. Even so the same for the Mon Calamaris

but this doesnt work for multiplayer right?
i mean the cd-key is being requested by the master server in this case.

Kerio Personal Firewall asks if you want to allow any application to be executed - in this case it's one responsible for a cd-key. You just block it and continue with install. Of course it does not work for multiplayer, but I don't suppose you can play on official server with a key from *.nfo file anyway.
This is just a nice trick if you happen to loose your nfo file somewhere. It works with a couple of other games, too.

I am quite sure it is keyentry. I don't know if it is the name of the file or a name of the process. What I get is a kerio dialog box which asks if I want to allow or block keyentry. I block it and that's it.

I still did not manage to run the game though. Any luck with DVD version?

btw does anyone know a way of playing the game multiplayer per direct ip connection?
that is, without having to connect to the master server at all.

Yup, just hype. It's a substandard rts in a well known setting..think we've seen this before. Act of War is more fun than this. Come to think of it C&C 1 is more fun as well.

Liked the AT-AT tho Very Happy

They should make a pause-action Star Wars space battles game. It's the only part of the game I actually enjoyed.

Bullshit. i used the launch exe and it worked fine. tried the exe he tried and it didnt work. so go try again, because the launch exe works.

Sorry, it doesnt work here. Wink

Heh, I don't think that guy understood that you actually was talking about bonus disc.

Well here is what worked for me: start CureROM Lite (Autoenable) from start menu (note that CureROM Lite is a different shortcut than CureROM, small box with enable/disable buttons will pop up), mount the bonus disc, install bonus maps and play Smile

Wow, that was a waste of download. Absolute shite. Amounts to clicking on a unit and clicking on an enemy unit but it's got about as much spirit and soul as a lump of charcoal.

lol...I managed to screw up the campaign. I started to conquer systems until the empire had only 2 systems left. Then I had to do the mission with Han Solo and Chewie were they had to contact some employer who had a mission for them but no target system was pointed out. I guess I alleady owned that system and the story broke.

Sigh....now I have todo it all over again and not conquer any systems that doesn't belong to the story. Crying or Very sad

I liked the cashflow though Laughing

BTW why is the empire AI so stupid? I mean after I stole the designs for the air speeders which take the AT-ATs down I owned every land battle. I just flew over their heads like a mosquito and I think the AI got annoyed and gathered all units into a huge group. I wiped them all out with one bomb run and olny had to clean up the remains. I ruled again.

Space battles AI is quite OK but ground battle is weak.

"Original disc could not be found or authenticated."

That might be because your device parameters in DT4 are not default.
Try this: Right click on DT4 icon virtual cd/dvd rom -> Device -> Set device parameters -> reset to default -> ok.

Finaly , this buggy shit game just sux . What a wste of $.
Multiplayer is full of bugs , the campaing is full of non-sense bs .

Space fight is good , even better in mp .
But after 20 online games , its starting to be boring because its always the same .
It take an hour to find a connectable players , and most of the times , its full of lag .
And they said it will take a lot of time to fix the mp ...

Another crap from lucasart .

Damn man, you are ridiculous, me and my friends have played at LEAST 10 flawless games over a half-assed Hamachi setup, I think you need to fix your computer.

The only thing that MAY be wrong with MP is some balance issues, other than that it's fine.
