Looks like a router. Large as well, going by the disc slot compared with the rest of the device. And that white is gonna scream 'look at me' next to the rest of the AV stuff around my TV.
But hey, I guess it's different...even if it looks a bit like if you told someone in 1990 to design a futuristic console for 2010.
Despite all that, I'm sure I'll end up with one sooner or later!

The curved tips might be a problem for some.. Like for me, as it might touch the window infront of the console. Hopefully they reconsider that..

Geez that looks horrid. As soon as they showed it i was like.. where the fuck am i gonna put this vertically to also be able to hide it? Then horizontal was shown and it was even worse... but at least it’ll fit in the TV ‘stand’ and ill be able to semi close the door on it to hide it.
And why no black option? Sony ....

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, unfortunately I think it’s fucking horrible.
I don’t have one piece of hardware that is white in my tv stand. Apart from not wanting the monstrosity to stand out, it actually wouldn’t fit in my current tv stand. I’d have to fit it in horizontal and sideways to get that in!
Disappointedly I think this will be the first time I don’t pre order a next gen console. And enhanced GTAV I already have on the PC. Looks like a few more years for the next GTA then.
I will play patient bear and wait and see if they release a black version.

Luckly when i bought my PC about 10 months ago i went for a mix of white for PC case and metal\glass white desk for PC.

I'm using the rgb on white light so its more subtle. For TV and PS4 Pro i got a nice concrete stand, both TV and monitor are black, also got lot of space horizontal so no prob there, by all accounts the PS5 should fit great on my setup, i think I'm also will go for the digital version as i only bought 2 games on disc for PS4 and i have no need for it, also the digital ver looks nicer and should be smaller.

No date given on HZD 2 or GT 7.... and since a lot of the games said 'coming 2021', this has to mean 2022 at least. pah.
but of course Rockstar, bless their greedy little hearts, are going to furnish us with GTA V next year...again. And they couldn't even be bothered to make up any new footage for the presentation, just cobbled together clips from PS4! That's one triple dip I sure as heck won't be making. Had enough GTA V for a lifetime now. Downside is it makes any GTA 6 unlikely before, what, 2023?
Doesn't really seem much at all on offer for the launch window tbh. Late 2021 console purchase at the earliest for me, and I can see my PS4 backlog nodding appreciately at me as I type this!

tbh I like the digital version design.
But I guess the main buyers other than kids areUS-Scandinavian home design lovers.

Not a single system seller. Fail.
Some people seem to think it's bloated/big. Isn't that a good thing? The shitty airflow and cooling in those small consoles makes them sound like jet engines at times, the PS4 also has this problem.

Ah well, in the end the only thing that matters is which closed of games they offer and how they run.
