Like with other MS games it's just a matter of time. They make it a timed exclusive like State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves, Quantum Break, etc.

Q: Is Microsoft Flight Simulator going to be released on Steam or the Epic Store?
A: We have no news to share regarding additional versions, but our goal is to have Microsoft Flight Simulator available on as many platforms as possible.

119,99$ digital deluxe.
And they are smart enough to put a couple of the more known aiports and planes in the digital deluxe version.
And on top of that, you have to use their (beta) launcher.
Well that settles it, not much of a flight sim enthousiast myself but was tempted to try this just for the technical effort and out of curiousity.
Yarrrrr, sale or don't care.

The Xbox game pass approach seems really tempting if you don't care for the extras of other versions. Do MS run regional pricing or is the price set to be equivalent of $ price tag everywhere?

The game looks great and I will definitely try it thanks to Game Pass but I will end up probably just flying the older more simple planes with my Hotas setup as I do not need to pretend I am a real pilot flying those modern jets having to remember or set up a huge amount of key binds.

Been hovering over the buy button for a few days..but haven't done it yet.
Super exited for it but trying to stop impulsive 'YAY! new flight sim" spending..LOL.

It doesn't look that great on my rig (6600k@4.6, GTX970 and 32GB RAM)... but not too shit either.
At least I could recognize our town and house while flying over. Realistic weather and traffic is nice.
Great game though, happy you get a fair amount of content without spending a house on it like they did in the past.
