Don't think so, its looking good but firmly like a current gen game and we're at the end of the generation I predict it will run surprisingly well.

You underestimate the optimisation skills of the dev team.

Will they release a gameplay video this time, or will it be press only?

Hmmmm that's quite worrisome about the shooting mechanics, especially when they have highlighted a lot of shooting from the trailers.

I realistically expect the shooting mechanics and open-world interactivity to be up to the task, but not particularly deep/complex or groundbreaking. All I hope for is that they can serve the RPG elements well without being too arcade-y. As long as the quest design/C&C, characters/writing and sense of immersion will be on par with CD's high standards I will be a very happy cyberpanda.

Then you go to Skillup video above and he praises the driving and shooting, completely opposite view... but he didn't like the braindance stuff. Different people will like different stuff, too early to sweat.

SkillUp also says that he played with an Xbox Controller because he wasn't allowed to use Mouse&KB.
I think its safe to assume that gamepressure's preview is using a controller as well, which imo nullifies a big part of the "shooting" critique.

That's a fair point and I hadn't watched the Skillup video yet, I guess i'm just quite hyped for the game that anything negative starting to come out about it i'm thinking "another downgrade fiasco ahoy, this is why they haven't shown much of it previously."

So I didn't watch the stream, since I always hate people talking over shit, just the commentary-free vid. Looks like they showed snippets of both the Nomad and Corpo backgrounds? I assume you must lose access to the AV fairly early on as a Corpo. I doubt they'd want you just flying around everywhere.

i don't know. with everything new they show, my interest and hype gets lower and lower. right now im at a point where i don't care anymore.
the driving looks really stiff, the shooting doesn't "feel" right from viewing the trailer and no, not because they used a controller, it's something else which feel off and im also not really into all of the colourful stuff. i want it to be dark, filthy and brutal, like 90% of the time, if 10% are bright and colourful, fine but not like 50% or even more.

of course i will iso demo it but my guess is, it will not my type of game and it's gonna be uninstalled after 1-2 hours.

Man these 5 months will be so loooooooooong Sad

I’m getting so hyped, loved the trailer and the 30 minutes of gameplay that were shower by Geoff Keighley. I just want it to be a little more dark than it currently seems but I trust CDPR to deliver. I’m also pumped that all the gameplay that was shown is only from the Prologue, which will serve as a tutorial I guess.

Looking forward to the next Night City Wire event!

Shit looks dank, the world looks fantastic. Lowering expectations will do this game good, cause it became hyped up almost as the second coming of Jesus.

I'm actually approaching this as a heavily RPGized Immersive Sim, which is great. I'm not really worried about driving or shooting, I'm more interested in exploration, finding shit, hacking terminals, finding hidden pathways, sneaking around.

The usual places I read are very impressed. Journos played a 1080p compressed stream btw due to Corona, they got a gameplay vid afterwards to use in their previews.
My hype boner cannot get bigger atm.

I was really surpised when I read that, a few years ago I didn't think this was possible at all, but no one really complained about any performance issues or other problems so I guess it's a viable option now.

DLSS 2.0

that's gonna be a real win for nvidia when their GPUs can (almost) magically conjure massive performance gains out of nowhere in a super demanding title

Quote:
When Cyberpunk 2077 launches later this year, it will be available on GeForce NOW, with support for ray-tracing effects and DLSS 2.0. So even if you’re playing on an old PC, a Mac, or an Android device, you can experience Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p 60 FPS.

Not sure why chromatic aberration is so heavily used (its ok in ingame cinematics), looks like you watch the game through pair of shitty camera lenses.

It's probably one of the few genres where it's synonymous. I don't mind it that much in this title tbh.

If it's ray traced then it could be something from off-screen.
