Looking at the leaked trailer, Saber being involved in porting and this post .... it seems to be development hell kind of project. aka prime target for timmy
I'm sure if it hadn't been for the fact that it also had to run on switch and other consoles it'd look like this
since when does PC games and console games need to look the same / have the same graphics options? i dont see why it couldn't look like this on PC unless its a port from console..

Cause they're not going to put in the effort to create two so vastly different versions of the game that one can be for the switch and look and run nice while creating one for PC that looks like.. well like that.
So they settle for a very scalable version which will never be able to push as far as a dedicated tricked out PC version would.
I wonder if the "Will it run CRYSIS?" joke comes again and this time the devs in the vid says "Yep, it does" and blows the meme away xD...One can wish though
Looking forward to it but... For another time.

I wonder where they'll go from here. As I mentioned a while back the only potentially good outcome would be using this (low effort) opportunity to give a new start to the franchise by pretending that Crysis + Warhead never had any sequels, which is exactly what happened in my mind anyway. Absolutely not holding my hopes out though, for all we know we might just get a maximum battle royale with Orlycrates.
Still no clue if they butchered the suit functions or not (like the sequels did), maximum strength was always on?
Its pretty clear in the first trailer, when he sprints and honeycomb apearing on the sides when armor is engaged.
Any older pc game worth its salt was only ever designed for mouse and keyboard. Shooting, aiming, tracking enemies, using features, inventory and so on.
You cant just take them, slap some autoaim and port them, because they're not gonna feel good to play. This is gonna function like the crysis 1 console port did, and the sequels. Powers and actions will be contextual, suit energy is probably gonna drain much slower like in console crysis 1 did, breaking the balance. Weapons probably wont have the amount of recoil from the pc version, will shoot more straight, taking the challenge out even more. Enemies will do lower amounts of damage and be programed to miss more, again like in console crysis 1.
This version is gonna be more of a curiosity to explore. The Crysis 1 game, as it was designed originally will always remain the pc exclusive 2007 game
I loved the original Crysis controls, you could change suit modes by holding the middle mouse button and then moving the mouse to select modes.
It took a while getting used to but once that happens the controls become amazingly fluid.
I remember I mostly used combination of speed mode and cloak mode to make quick hit and run attacks after a while I got so good at it the enemies didn't stand a chance.
It's a shame if that is gone, and also the remake should have had the Warhead campaign, in my opinion it's a fully fledged Crysis and belongs together with Crysis 1. (it would even be possible to merge both campaigns)
Screams of a "miracleportitis derpus". Looks very soft, so it's probably 540p, and framerate dips like a motherfucker in heavy scenes, so it's just in line with all other miracle ports then. Can't wait fow the gwowing Digitaw Foundwy weview of aww the teknicaw featuws of the new engine.
Sure it looks and runs better than how my PC handled Crysis back in 2007.
Sure, yeah, but still, the novelty of this runs out really quick when playing handheld on the Switch and looking at blurorama.
Yeah agreed. Plus well, it's Crysis. One of the most boring game ever. Not sure it's gonna be a huge success on Switch, and it's not the type of game I'd care to play handheld and on the go (IMO).
