It's good to know that it can be eventually isodemoed, although I'm not expecting much from the single-player made by the people responsible for Battlefront 2's pitiful campaign
That single player part might also be (as it's quite often the case with such games) a glorified tutorial for the multiplayer.
I already decided to give this game a chance (thanks to Fallen Order), so it matters less now how much influencers want to convince me to like / buy it.
the fov look horrendous, the fucking cockpit takes HALF the fucking screen... i remember playing tie fighter with like 10-20% cockpit at most or u could even turn it off

agree, and big flashing icons and bars everythere. And those big bobbleheads are not distracting at all, wtf?
well, i was going to say another dumbed down starwars game but at least feature wise it looks fairly solid, until i saw VR, now i might be in
bein' honest, i mostly hate star wars, but i always enjoyed the old xwing/tie games. while it doesn't look like they improved a single thing from those games, this should be pretty fun in VR.
it's gonna be a real mixed bag when it comes to the points mentioned here however.
single-player could be just a bad tutorial, with no real AI bot support for battles; and then it is dead to me... and then you've got all the live service trash and mtx horseshit.

For me the cockpit is crucial part of the game. Like in rebel galaxy outlaw. That was the reason I gave it try.
Without cockpit it's just too bareboned, going all the way to the point where: ok I dont even need to buy the game, i can play it in my head: "yes i won, great game! beaten!"
Like an FPS without weapon models, enemies just placeholder bricks or any kind of material, no walls etc.
Or: Go the no FPS view and then you can stare at the spaceship. 3rd person would be the same empty bareboned stuff without a model in the "middle" of the screen.
Well that's just me, but I do like the big assed cockpit.

a lot of people were complaining about the same shit for rebel galaxy, and also every racing game with cockpits (before it became accepted?). a lot of people just can't deal with having limitations or don't understand why not being able to see everything can also be part of the experience, it's similar in a way to arguments about game difficulty. some just can't understand why you would willingly make something harder.
it's way easier to play without a cockpit, but does that add to the experience of flying an x-wing or tie? in any case, i'd be willing to bet there's an option to remove cockpits, even in multiplayer PVP. all the more reason i hope there is some reasonable AI in the game, because i imagine PVP will turn to shit quickly with all the special equipment available, removing cockpits for view advantage, using a mouse to aim etc.
Well that's just me, but I do like the big assed cockpit.
everyone should be forced to use cockpit view, how else you gonna take ship construction into consideration? Y-Wings for example have to be "slow", armed with ordonance but their biggest disadvantage are those tiny and weirdly cut windows. Every SW-Flightsim needs that
also, that video..my god. "oooh,i am totally surprised here guys, who would have thought that you can do things every Lucasarts SpaceSim has since 1993? Not me,that is for sure, instead of finetuning energy levels you have 3 choices what to boost, isn´t that what star wars is about, folks? Not gonna lie, what an amazing game for a low price! You should buy it,i would too if i didn´t get it for free. Those 2,3 maps are gonna keep you entertained for 12 months until a 9,99 mappack with 1 new map drops. Pls liek n sübskripe,bb!"

For anyone in the alpha, is it possible to configure the control scheme in a way that mirrors Battlefield flight controls with mouse and keyboard, or are we stuck with that forced shitty "mouse joystick emulation" that they switched to in Battlefront 2?
I like using the mouse for small pitch/roll/aim adjustments and the keyboard to pull hard continuous turns - this was very much possible in the remake of Battlefront, and totally NOT possible in Battlefront 2.

Cool, thanks. Although now that I think back on it, that's no guarantee either, as the Battlefront 2 demo/beta had the old normal control scheme, and when they released full they forced that mouse joycon shit onto everyone, with no option to switch back.
Have fun!

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Nope, apparently you are scared to be influenced by a youtuber to buy or not to buy games...
You make it harder for people to take you seriously with such posts.
Actually i thought the same thing. Agreeing with Sin is not a daily thing for sure. I figured you bought it as a defense mechanism so it would be your choice and not manipulated by influencers or hype.
