hi, i downloaded DVLs king kong scr yesterday only to find out both the seperate xvid files had diffrent audio sampling rates resulting in me not being able to join them and causing me not to be able to burn it to dvd.

why do groups split xvids like this, its not like theyll fit on vcd or anything Mad .

its not the first time its happened either and i got a feeling i wont be downloading movies which are xvid and split into 2 files anymore, instead ill waste 4gb and download the dvdr because i dont wanna take the chance of having two screwed xvid files.

so can someone tell me some groups that usually have these problems with audio sampling rates or does it happen to all of them occasionly?

thanks! Mad

You can join 2 xvid files that have different audio sampling rates. I do it all the time.

Step 1: Get virtualdubmod
Code:
http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net/
Yes its free.

Step 2: Start Vdub and Set Video to Direct stream copy (Video>Direct Stream Copy)

Step 3: Open the first Xvid file (File>Open Video File).
*NOTE* if you get a VBR audio stream error select NO*

Step 4: Scroll the movie so it is at the VERY last frame.

Step 5: Append Segment (File>Append Segment) And select second Xvid file.

Step 5: Save (File>Save As) Call file whatever u want.
(It should only take a few minutes to join)

Done.

I use VSO ConvertXtoDVD to create my DVD's.
Code:
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/which_video_converter_for_burning_video_files_to_DVD.php

And they always play flawlessly on my dvd player Very Happy
