Wasn't on my radar.. but i finished DOOM 2016 today and now i'm looking for games with similar gameplay. Got Eternal next and Hard Reset, didn't even think i would like DOOM, as i watched gameplay vids over the years and always thought it's not my kind of game, but i had a blast the last 3 days playing it.
These recent videos are definitely an improvement over the rather bland previous work-in-progress footage, just classic Sam doing serious pewing around zero fucks given. As it should be

It does feel cheap-ish indeed but I'd say it's worth trying, especially considering the (quite tragic) context of modern shooters. There's a Redux version as well that adds tweaks, dodging and the katana making the core gameplay more varied which is a plus.

Pick up Ion Fury. Was one of my favorite releases of the year.
