waiting for the barbarians, 4/10 i didnt get it .. they seemed to fail at shocking or getting their message accros, some old fart with a foot fetish ? fuck sake, could have gone deep into some cool stuff about how some people will fake enemies to make a career ( many stories of generals in british army sacrficing thousands of men for their career and public fame)

dep massively underused , to few characters, shitty editing and just incomplete ... ending felt massively rushed

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers - 0.2/10

Avoid!, at all costs.

Communion (1989) - 6/10

Was OK back then, but ho-ho now, and only for Mr Walken.

Compliance (2013) - 6.5/10

Strange one this, based on a true story, although when you see it, pretty hard to believe.

Actually fell asleep through this and had to rewind, but it really wasn't worth the effort.

Venom 8/10

Came to Netflix, so I watched it.

Was pleasantly surprised. Hardy IS eye candy ^^

Nah, but his movies are quite alright. Unless he wears a mask and they fake his voice, lol...

Project Power wasted potential/10

Take a pill for some super power, ok, I can get behind that, but this movie absolutely misused that idea.

Not to mention the "actors" in it... Machinegun Kelly? Casey what's his name ytuber? Probably more that I don't know lol.

What was Levitt thinking, lol. Ah right, play yet another cop for the paycheck ^^

REWATCH NIGHT

Dumb and Dumber - 6.5/10
Slapstick and dick jokes never were so much well entangled Very Happy

Dumb and Dumber To - 5.5/10
Score is due to nostalgia mostly, and some random laugh. They sticked to the formula but it wasn't necessary imho.

Ace Ventura 2 - 4/10
Score is due to the amount of cocaine (or egotrippin' endorfines, not sure) Carrey had during those days. Totally avoidable.

Project Power - 5/10 - great premise, piss poor execution.
Old Guard - 7.75/10 - one of the very few good Netflix movies. Good action, nice cast and I love Theron.

Executive Decision (1996) - 6/10

LOL! Was good back then, but 'snake' lost it a bit in this one. Only good thing, was seeing Seagal die from the off, then it became enjoyable.

Tenet - 7.5? 5? 10?

Sigh...don't know how to score this movie. I think there's gonna be a set of people that like it for what I thought was a very novel take on time travel, and people who hate it because it was a bit challenging to follow and understand. Part of the reason is I, at least, had trouble clearly hearing/understanding what the actors were saying.

The action scenes, while nice, are not enough to carry this movie by themselves so following the plot will be important to truly enjoy the movie.

I'll need to rewatch this with subtitles and a pause button.

Bill and Ted Face the Music

7.5/10

A nice little feelgood romp through time and hell. Not a laugh-a-minute comedy, but a grinning-from-start-to-finish kind of movie. Which fits perfectly with the originals, and it doesn't really try to be bigger than them.

Bill and Ted Face the Music

A wholesome movie and that's about it. I laughed a couple of times but previous parts were superior even with their flaws.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

5/10.
Tom hanks did a pretty damn good job playing Mr. Rogers. And a few of his well known quirks and scenes are recreated as a solid nod to who he was as a man and some of his memorable points on the show. But the story and plot I didn't care fore as its more a "A Family drama, guest starring Mr Rogers" to me.

Way too much time spent on establishing the plot revolving around other characters, and not enough on Mr. Rogers.
Maybe I went into it with the wrong expectation, but while watching it, it honestly feels like 90% of the movie is about everyone but him.

I thought the documentary 'Won't You Be My Neighbor?' was a lot more interesting.
Hanks did a good job as the character, but the story wasn't much. You get a lot more out of the documentary.

Tenet
6/10
- Great opening scene
- Terrible music
- Great visuals
- Bleak acting by Washington
- Creative way of telling the story

I haven't seen any trailer before or read any info on it. I only read it was being directed by Nolan. Interstellar and Inception being my favorites, but this movie was definitely not amazing.

Coma 7/10

Actually quite a neat Russian action/fantasy/adventure/sci fi movie. Clear inspirations from Matrix, Inception etc. but with it's own original story driving the surprisingly good visuals (compared to the Russian sci fi movies I've seen in later years).

nolan goes for the reality of noise i noticed. Its in everything. When they're on a plane you hear everything the plane does only louder and in more detail. Its intentional so we can't blame him. Its just stupid. Imagine being an audio editor, engineer or audio supervisor going against everything you were taught to ensure your boss is happy.

Mulan 2020 : 4/10
The 4 are just for the glimpses of what the director thought Chinese filmmaking was. There's like 3-4 shots that were spectacular and felt like Chinese mystical period pieces but had no breath to them. Didn't hold long enough. Frustrating. Also pacing was terribly off. Never seen the cartoon. But watched this and was very very frustrating. Should have hired a chinese filmmaker.
