Well doh, software raytracing on shitty hardware that doesnt support it. Ofc it will look like shit.

Now compare pc version on RTX cards.. ? Not sure when it releases on PC.

Main PC : I7 12700, MSI Ventus RTX 4090 24gb, Alienware AW3423DW QD-OLED
Laptop : I5 4200H @ 3400mhz boost, GTX 850m 2gb Vram DDR3, 4gb RAM DDR3

I don't understand what the "way twacing" is exactly, if it exhibits the same artifacts as screen space reflections

Notice the reflection of the "80", and how the digits disappear abruptly because they are not rendered off-screen. It's truly retarded.

Well... again.. software raytracing. Garbage. Was the same in that old cryengine neon noir demo or whatever it was called. So many ‘optimizations’ that you might as well just use screen space reflections.

There will be no "PC version RTX", its the same "ray tracing" as in neon noir.

Yes, it "smears".

Well that's probably not something you will notice unless you keep your attention on that.

Anyway, I really couldn't care that much about the remaster since the whole game was ruined for me with the frozen landscape for 1 level (and timed) and then BS ending.

The whole point of ray tracing is to finally step away from all these "screen space" nonsense hacks that look terrible. And what is these clowns' result? Same artifacts as "screen space"!

Crysis uses their own raytracing implementation that partially relies on cubemap and/or SSR. There was a breakdown on their RT demo a while back.

Negatives are obvious, but pros are also obvious - it can run anywhere, no RTX memes needed
