My beef with the reviews is everyone is blaming the microtransaction crap which, yes, it total BS. But how is the AI? How is it against your friends? It's those types of reviews I care about.
There are few and far between sports games on the PC. Losing out of NCAA Football , NBA Live, and the Triple Play series back in the late 90s and NHL sometime in the 2000s just sucked. Seeing Madden back on is nice so any sports game coming back is a welcome sight.

Titles released on the PS5 and PC will be ported from the PS4 version because PC's "can't handle it" and then eventually, we'll get the same releases and the PS5 and realize that PC's "can handle it just fine" then we surpass and run the PS5 ports with better quality than the PS5 itself.
They have no shame sadly, with the complete lack of competition and with 2K20 generating such strong sales figures despite being an insult to the entire gaming industry, they feel free to completely ignore both the negative user reception and recycled framework from a gameplay standpoint since they know that folks will still buy it en masse.
It's more or less the same procedure that EA have been adopting with their titles, where the core of the experience is no longer the sport itself, but the market involving cards and online currencies designed to generate addiction among kids/teens. Codemasters have joined the predatory gang as well, it's an opportunity too good to pass up.
