As for your question there should be no difference running it on 1.5 and 2+ as its only a save game function.. I would be supprised if it didnt work :\..

I have the same problem with GTA with the "read disk error" , I have been looking into this in more detail, And i think the problem is the ISO is missing the UMD_DATA.BIN i think the PSP is trying to read that and can't find it so it just spits out 'Read disk error'

Quick Fix = Pop out the UMD Smile


No such problem here. Working flawlessly. My ISO does have a UMD_DATA.BIN though.

I think it is that UMD_DATA.BIN , Ill patch it up just now.

Open UMDGen, Then open the ISO it should look like this

/PSP_GAME

Add the UMD_DATA.BIN

/PSP_GAME
/UMD_DATA.BIN

I'll test this just now see if it works. I'll report back soon.

Edit : If anyone has the UMD_DATA.BIN from the EUROPE/UK Release, Please PM me.

I've no idea what release, or whether it was even a release.
i recieved GTA fully sorted. all i did was copy a few folders to my stick. Very Happy

umdemu settings are :
boot.bin - on
regioncode - off
flash 0 - off
flash 1 - off

If anyone is having problem's with GTA's 'Read disc error' I've patched it up and its working great, I will tell you how to fix it :

Make a text file called 'UMD_DATA.txt' , Now put this in the text file

Code:
ULES-00151|185FFF7A7FECB8E2|0001|G             |


Save and rename it UMD_DATA.BIN , Now open the Lfc ISO and add the UMD_DATA.BIN to UMDGen.
Save the ISO and its now fully patched , no more read disc error's Smile

I don't understand how i can get any FW files by using psardump

for more details, download FakeUpdater and check out the readme file, it's all pretty clear. Smile

here's something that should help. It's also a tutorial, with lots of links to the required software and a bit of info on how to use it.
Hope it'l help.

OPEN GTA ISO
EXTRACT TO GTA ISO TO FOLDER ON HD
SAVE A FILE LIST
CLOSE UMDGEN


DECRYPTPRX

COPY PRX2_0_0 FROM GTA FOLDER ON HD ONTO THE ROOT OF MEMSTICK
PUT DECRYPTPRX INTO GAME FOLDER
RUN DECRYPTPRX
COPY PRX2_0_0 FOLDER FROM ROOT OF MEMCARD INTO GTA FOLDER ON HD REPLACING ORIGINAL FOLDER
REMOVE ALL .PRX FILES AND THEN REMOVE .DCR EXTENSIONS FROM REMAINING FILES.


UMDGEN

DUMP GTA FILES BACK INTO UMDGEN
OPEN THE SAVED FILE LIST
CREATE A NEW GTA ISO
DUMP GTA.ISO INTO ISO FOLDER ON MEMCARD


FAKEUPDATER

PUT FAKEUPDATER ONTO MEMSTICK
PUT 2.00 FIMWARE INTO FAKEUPDATER/UPDATE FOLDER
RUN FAKEUPDATER

YES TO FAKE UPDATE TO 2.00

NOW DUMPS F0 TO MEMORY CARD IN UNENCRYPTED FORMAT

COPY F0 AND F1 FROM MEMORY CARD ROOT TO MPHGAMELOADER FOLER THEN RENAME THE FOLDERS TO flash0 and flash1


UMDEMULATOR

RUN UMDEMULATOR
SET SYSTEM MENU
SELECT GTA.ISO
RUN MPHGAMELOADER.....

that is true, but you can't save the game, and you can't start a new campaign. it doesn't find the memory stick.
if you download a 100% complete save you can play the missions in instant action. http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/psp/save/928395.html

Yes, But the 10 minute timelimit has already been removed (Thanks to IND Wink) , I think this version is so that more game's can be run and without a timelimit (I hope)

I will test this once he actually upload's the file Rolling Eyes

Edit : He's not even done any work on this full version, Just removed the 10 minute timelimt, He's not even changed the readme file (still says demo) or his download site about it Rolling Eyes

The good news is. Mega Man Maverick Hunters Works, the other good news is. If Maverick Hunters works that means Mega Man Powered Up will also work when it gets released soon. Smile

Which means its only a matter of time before someone finds out a way to get SFA3 working aswell. And all on 1.5 Firmware Smile

BTW if anyone hears any more news about newer games working like Fight Night or even WWE. Post it here quickly ok. Very Happy

What release is it? Euro/USA/JAP? , I will look into it. Also i'm working on direct booting other game's from UMDEmu instead of running MPH Loader, someone's already tried this on maxconsole so i'm going to try this method with other games. I'll keep you updated.
