The leaker reports that both Navi 21 XT and Navi 21 XL "Big Navi" GPUs for Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards will feature a huge variation between the base and boost clocks. We're looking at up to a +700 MHz difference between the base and boost frequencies. Following are the clock speeds as listed by Rogame:
Base clock 1350MHz to 1400MHz
Game clock 1800MHz to 1900MHz
Boost clock 2100MHz (maybe 2200MHz)
According to the leaker, the Navi 21 XT/XL GPUs will feature even higher clock speeds in AIB made custom models. The first batch of GPUs will be sold as reference only variants but AMD's partners are definitely cooking their own custom designs that will feature even higher clock speeds.
Similar statements were provided by Videocardz whose sources at AIBs reveal that the Navi 21 XL will have peak clock speeds around 2.2 GHz, similar to what's stated by Rogame. It is likely that the red team will artificially lock the clock speeds but reference samples are said to feature around 2.3 GHz peak clocks with AIB models hitting the 2.4 GHz clocks out of the box.
As per Rogame, the Navi 21 GPU currently has the following SKUs:
Considering the PS5 will manage between 2 and 2.2Ghz clocks, this doesnt sound too far off.
This sounds very good for people who like to tweak their GPUs.
But it also says alot about TSMCs 7nm process and coincidentaly what AMPERE may be capable of in the near future.

Mount & Blade 2, Mortal Shell, Ready or Not and Xuan-Yuan will also support it. M&B2 gets it next month apparently
Enlisted looks good with DLSS. Pumpkin Jack looks unimpressive with and without RTX. And the RTX on version doesn't look as if it requires RTX one bit.
I played Minecraft with SEUS PTGI because I wanted the raytracing features so badly on my non-rtx card and... It sucks ass compared to Minecraft RTX :'(

Yea Minecraft RTX is really getting there. Before I installed my 3080 I benchmarked some games on my 2070 to get that sense of upgrade and I was surprised to see they kept working on Minecraft RTX.
Performance was much better than before. Around 30% better with the same settings.
Looks pretty neat too with the right kind of resource pack. If only I gave a hoot about Minecraft.
I still like some of the things PTGI does, like the clouds. But RTX performs better now and generally looks better. Though its still Bedrock, not Java. Which is its own big downside.
Maybe their stock will magically grow when AMDs cards become available. In a month or so.

And what an absolutely stupid decision that would be. Instead of making sure everyone was well equipped with NVIDIA, they wait until everyone is well equipped with either AMD or NVIDIA.

PTGI fakes sooooooo much stuff though, it ain't funny anymore. Also it's very buggy (on AMD). Like the shadows. There are basically two states: A bit of ambient light or fully black. Shadows are not thrown dynamically, reflections are fake af, objects don't appear in reflections properly (a lightspot is shown instead of the torch), the lightsources are always shifted by one block (wtf?), light is not really raytraced, so only sunlight will be tinted by coloured glass, but not light emitted from torches. Everything is faked It looks good, but it's just _not_ rtx I really hope that Microsoft enables full DXR support in Minecraft RTX so that any DXR supporting card can render this game properly!
I'm around 200 for an ASUS TUF 3080 OC at OCUK and it's a similar story. Although it sounds like Scan don't treat their customers with utter contempt, so it's not all bad
I don't really think 20gb 3080 would be competitive at all. That vram is too expensive and the card would cost like 1000usd. 3070 with 16gb would be at least what 3080 10gb costs.
And More power is always useful... while I don't really think that 10gb will fall short.
By the time we see games requiring more than 10gb of gddr6x vram, the 3080 will be way too slow anyway I guess.
as for here and now, 3080 is amazing but you can clearly see they are struggling to get this performance. The card draws 320w and is using g102 chip, same as 3090 which is only a bit faster.
2x vram versions would be way too bad of a deal compared to upcoming amd cards.
As for now - I enjoy beautiful card that is pretty quiet (but coil whines a bit at max load). It does run at 76c maxed but it's not too bad. I just like how it looks and that it does over 60fps at 4k in every game so far tested

I dont believe the supply issue bullshit, they were rushed out and partners were making hardware changes a week before launch. I think they stopped production to make either rev2 cards or to just give up on the 10gb and launch 20gb cards properly when RDNA2 16gb cards hit the market. 4-5 days from RDNA2 launch, Nvidia already talking about 16gb+ cards coming soon, 7nm revision in future, the RTX 3080 10gb CTD and no supply edition what an embarrasment.
I still can't believe my luck when getting a card... I just clicked on a few "notify me"-buttons on one of your biggest online dealers over here, on a few 3080 models and a couple of 3090 (hadn't decided if I wanted a 80 or 90, or if I was going to replace my 2080Ti at all even).
This was also over a week after it had launched. Then one day I get an email that Asus' 3090 TUF OC was now available. Hadn't planned on buying a 3090 at all, but when the opportunity presented itself, well..
I actually think I bought the only card they received, or at least one of maybe two or three. It was gone within 30 seconds and went back to the "notify me"-button.
Still amazingly ridiculous that they still have these long-ass queues of orders they can't fulfill.
