I find most "awareness weeks", for whatever purpose, to be obtuse and very ineffective. You have twatter twats circlejerking around a subject they are already aware of, whereas the people that really need the "awareness" aren't even exposed. So "tRaNs AwArEnEsS wEeK" means idiots on twatter and retardera reaffirming their cOmMiTmEnT to tRaNs LiFe MaTtErS.
Which isn't even a bad thing, it's just a week and it doesn't hurt anyone
But like always, ResetEra have to put their name to it, as if they are the be-all and end-all for any social movement (isn't it a gaming forum?!). Suddenly, numerous insane ideas are being thrown around and all they've managed to do is draw more animosity to a cause. Like always.
What do you mean, insan-

Hire trans people for both leadership and lower positions, sensitivity readers, and make sure all employees go through a "diversity training," highlighting the importance of these issues both internally and to their customers.
Then again, that feels like an unachievable dream with CDPR.

In recognition of International Transgender Day of Remembrance, we’ve made the decision to lock all threads about Cyberpunk 2077 for today (November 20th) to raise awareness about the concerns related to the publisher and the game. Originally the plan was to close the OT on this date as it was the day after the game was due to release; there will still be an OT closure on the day after release to honor that commitment. However, with marketing for the game now in full swing, this is another way to draw attention to the issue. The threads will be reopened tomorrow.
"CDPR is twansphobic" thread will remain open ofc
What a devastating blow for CDPR, game is now delayed to Q42021

Star-studded Time’s Up charities spent big on salaries, little on helping victims
Hollywood’s “Time’s Up” organization, set up to fight sexual harassment — with Reese Witherspoon, Amy Schumer, Brie Larson and other luminaries on its board — spent the bulk of its donations on executive salaries and only a fraction on legal costs to help victims, public records show.
The organization, which is comprised of the Time’s Up Foundation and Time’s Up Now Inc., raised $3,670,219 in 2018, its founding year, but spent $1,407,032 on salaries and only $312,001 on the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund for people who have experienced sexual harassment.
